Your Vegas Pro 13 Feedback

Thank you all for sharing your experiences with Vegas Pro 13. We take your feedback seriously, and we’re actively investigating the issues you’ve reported.

We have identified a scripting-related issue that gives errors when loading some third-party application extensions built on older .NET frameworks. We are actively testing a fix for this.

We have investigated the instances where some older plug-ins are causing a crash during startup, including:

NewBlue
We are also working very closely with NewBlue to jointly address Titler Pro 1 and 2 issues that are most commonly seen on Windows 8 or 8.1. Updating to the latest Titler 1 or 2 versions reduces the frequency of the problem.

GoPro Studio
We have worked with GoPro closely on the CFHD.DLL crash during startup. GoPro has released a new CFHD.DLL which resolves the issue

TechSmith Camtasia
We have attempted to reproduce crashes with Camtasia Studio installed. After updating to the most current version, we are unable to reproduce any crash. The latest installers can be downloaded from

We have made another change which further stabilizes vendor plugins in general. We will be releasing an update as soon as possible.

Thank you all for the positive feedback. We're happy to announce that an update to Vegas Pro 13, Build 310, was posted today.

This build includes the following fixes:
• Fixed a bug that caused a crash during startup when loading some older third-party plug-ins (including CineForm CFHD, NewBlue Titler 1 & 2, and Camtasia). Upgrading to the latest plug-ins is still advised.
• Fixed a bug that prevented some third-party application extensions based on older .NET frameworks from loading correctly.
• Fixed a bug that could cause an exception error when exiting Vegas.
• Fixed a bug that could cause an error when importing projects using File > Import.
• Fixed a bug that caused an error when using File > Import to import a DaVinci Resolve project if metadata was missing.
• Fixed a bug that prevented Vegas Pro from starting when using the Register Later method during installation.
• Fixed a bug that incorrectly offered a choice of English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish languages during installation and exposed incomplete translations in the Vegas interface. Installing this update will revert existing localized Vegas Pro 13 installations to English.
