YouTube Format

The new YouTube render and upload dialogue works quite well though I've noticed that YouTube still reduces the size substantially. What format does VMS11 use for YouTube? I've tried comparing it to other MP4 render options but nothing seems the same. I'd like to start with what VMS11 uses and tweak it to better match what YouTube changes it to.

Follow the VMS11 tutorial here:http://eugenia.queru.com/2007/11/09/exporting-with-vegas-for-vimeo-hd/ (MainConcept-ALT export:)
There is nothing you can do to match youtube, which is 720p at 2mbps or 1080 at 4 mbps. If you export like that, the quality will be atrocious by the time youtube re-encodes that. So you need to feed youtube a good, high bitrate and optimized copy.

I found it... It is:

Sony AVC/MVC
Internet 1920x1080-30p

This is just a template. Exporting manually in VBR using MainConcept will ensure higher quality, especially if you use the Main Profile/CABAC. Unfortunately SonyAVC doesn't support VBR.
