Gèday
I am trying to download some videos on youtube taken of me by a 3rd party and add them then to my project.
I have used DVD Soft to put the clip in a file in my computer but when I try to import the clip to Vegas I have problems, (can get audio only).
Has anyone else have a way of importing Youtube clips into their projects....
Many, many thanks in advance.

Maxxx

There are many ways to download youtube videos. Some, like Download Helper, can get the mp4 direct from the server or it can re-encode.

Using the server mp4 files, I get them to work in Vegas by remuxing to the same format using AVIDemux.

Go to YouTube and copy the address that is in your browser address bar of the clip you are interested in. Go to keepvid.com and copy the address of the clip into the download bar. You can choose the quality of the clip, and it will be in MP4 format which works fine with VMS. Hope it helps. Cin

Hi Maxx:

You can also download the YouTube downloader. Once you have that you can download videos from YouTube.

Not sure if the quality from this approach will be as good as the other methods described. I have only used it a couple of times and the quality was okay for viewing.

Regards,

Kimberly
