Z1u Arrived - Help

Well, hurray and how do you do!
My Sony Z1u arrived today! (Ok... it's not MY Z1, it belongs to the company I - work for)(I'm still pretty happy, though.)
I just did a search through the archives and can't seem to find the discussion between DSE (I miss typing "Spot" - it's like an old friend) and another power-user here (sorry, I forgot your name temporarily) about the settings they changed the Z1 to use. Something about Colour and Black Ballance, I think.
Did anyone bookmark that post?
Or can we start a new thread with how people set THEIR Z1 up - and why?
Thank you.
It's a brave new world!

I use it in full auto, soft steadyshot and manual focus. But don't listen to me as I only have about 5 minutes on it. It does more than I ever expected as far as pixelation and depth of field and low light. If I were to complain about anything it's the steadyshot performance when the camera is held steady. It kind of "twiches" a bit, but no big deal. I am really stoked on this camera. All the controls are in the right position. The performance surpasses everything in my Canon XL1-s with the exception of the optical stabilzation.

I've not used full auto yet, just because writing the HDV book, I needed to learn the manual settings and haven't changed many of my profiles...
I use CF 30 on a lot of stuff, skin tone set to #1, gamma set to same. I'm using Black stretch on anything that is not lit well, but never on dark and barely lit if I want color. If I'm using any gain at all, then I use Black Stretch though. It will slightly desaturate colors, particularly reds, and it will turn dark, deep blue to black.
I use the manual zoom, it's smoother, but the electronic zoom is quite good, has a great ramp.
I use the #2 steady shot setting, that's a major plus, IMO.

I on my FX1 start in full auto to see what the camera says, then switch to full manual, play around and compare. Often the results are similar but I'm shooting both and compareing on the HD monitor. Focus and zoom I use the manual rings only 'cos they feel so good!
