Not out yet. Online stores are indicating late August ship date, someone has reported being told by Sampson that ship date is being pushed back to October. I'm waiting with bated breath.

If the H2 is anything like my H4, they are excellent. One of the best purchases I ever made in audio/video equipment.

I use my H4 for all sorts of things. It works great.

Not sure what the H2 MSRP will be, but the price seems to drop substantially over time. I think I paid a little under $300 for my H4 from Amazon.com.

I ordered it from B&H today, they said they have them in their warehouse, but don't have them in the NYC store.

BSW (Broadcast Supply Worldwide) shows them now available on their website. I just got an email from them saying they were in stock.

I'm interested as well.

Got mine yesterday (7 day free ground shipping). I have been waffling on getting something like this for about 3 years, passing on the edirol, MAudio microtrack, zoom H4, etc. Most of you have already used these before, but this is my first flash type recorder.

First impressions are good. First a few minor complaints. The the unit will not fit in the cheap bag with the windscreen on it, which could of added a bit more protection, mute point because I will get a better case for it anyway. menu screen is small 1" X 5/8", plastic 128 x 64 dots, case and buttons seem a bit fragile, time will tell. I can not figure out how to have the earphone monitor volume up and the metronome volume down, the mic pics up the metronome from the ear buds. I have not figured out if it will recharge batteries while in the unit. It takes both alkaline and NiMH.

The audio quality is better than I expected. Stupid me, I did not know it was a also a USB audio interface. I just plugged in the USB, Vegas recognized it and recorded directly to my hardrive, yippee! comes with a mic stand adapter, the desktop stand is not very good. versatile mic patterns.

Numerous recording and file management features, most I would not use because I would do that on the computer. I have have only played around with it for a few hours.

I got mine two days ago from B & H and Starfleet Command confiscated it for her hearing aid. It is set for 4 channel and medium volume. It comes with a 512 meg flash card so she listens to the tv in the record mode. It sounds good to me but have not really tested it.

Seems you could just set it to record standby? ;^)

Starfleet Command also has the manual somewhere. Yaaawwwwn! She also has that hot dog stick in the bottom of it. I will have to check it out after I finish the cement work outside. I like the way the earpieces just hang in your ear and you don't have to do the jamo-jamo bit.
