zoom in time

Each time I open a saved program the "zoom in time" bar is fully extended so the media files on their respective tracks are fully compressed.
How can I open a saved program with the same zoom aspect as when it was saved and closed?

You can't. You have to readjust it each time you open the project.

I suspect what you want to do is go to the same spot where you stopped editing when you reopen your saved your project.

If this is the case, markers are your friend.

Thanks for suggestions but Movie Studio 8 did open with the same "zoom in time" setting as when it was saved and closed. Just installed 9.0 and it does not so there must be some setting that would allow for this but have been unable to locate it.

No, it's one of the changes. Same thing happens in the Pro version - didn't happen in the previous versions but does in the current one.
