  I too had the same issue. Purchased same software at Amazon they gave me the serial for Sound Forge. I found the chat feature on Amazon and complained. They have refunded me.

  My understanding is that with Amazon purchases you get a voucher code which you redeem on the Magix site which then sends you the download link and serial number. Is that how you obtained yours? Amazon directs you to download it from the Amazon
