In VEGAS, not all crossfades need to be created manually one at a time. You can also use Automatic Crossfades to automatically generate crossfades when you overlap two events or import multiple files into the timeline.

To use automatic crossfades, follow these steps:

• Go to "Options" > "Preferences" > "Editing".
• Enable the option "Automatically overlap multiple selected media when added".
• Next to "Cut-to-overlap conversion (seconds)", enter how long you want the crossfade to take.
• Now, drag and drop all the files you want to use in the project from Windows Explorer or the Project Media Window onto the timeline.
