When you record a DV/HDV video, the video material is automatically cut up into separate clips. If you want to prevent this from happening, follow these steps:

For DV video:

• Go to "Project" > "Capture Video".
• Click on "DV".
• Go to "Options" > "Preferences".
• Open the "Record" tab and remove the check mark next to "Enable DV scene recognition".
• Click "Apply", followed by "OK".
• Restart the recording.

For HDV:

• Go to "Project" > "Capture Video".
• Click on "HDV".
• Go to "Options" > "Preferences".
• Open the "General" tab and remove the check mark next to "Enable HDV scene recognition".
• Click "Apply", followed by "OK". 
• Restart the recording.
