Here's how to back up your presets for video effects and transitions:

Backing up non-OFX templates:

  • Windows XP, Vista, 7: Click the "Start" button, type "regedit" in the search field and press ENTER.
  • Windows 8, 8.1, 10: Press Windows Key+R, type in "regedit" in the search field and press ENTER.
  • Look for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ DXTransform \ Presets".
  • Right-click the "Presets" folder and select "Export". The registry is a very sensitive part of Windows. If you are not comfortable working with the registry, ask an administrator to help you.
  • Save the folder to a secure location, such as the desktop or an external storage device.

Backing up OFX templates:

  • In Windows Explorer, open "My Documents" and look for a folder called "OFX Presets".
  • Save the folder to a secure location, such as the desktop or an external storage device.

Importing your backup
To import your backup into the program:

  • Go to "File" > "Import".
  • Select the backup folder.
