For the ones creating music with Vegas.
Yeah I am sure I should not be using Acid im sure as I need Vegas to record stuff and i dont use any timestretching or acid like functions. It is possible you know to use programs for something they were not entirely made to do and for me thats where all the fun is .:) Im just saying that IF you create music on Vegas which i happen to do and love it for exactly that then its very easy and convenient to transfer it to Live for rearranging stuff and coming up with new ideas for already recorded material. In fact Live & Vegas is an incredible combo , I guess you have to try it to see what i mean .

I have 5.0b and i tried this but it didnt change anything. Im not using any Acid loops or anything like that ,the files were just stretched in Vegas 4. There is only a slight difference but its enough to throw the tune out of groove.

Render all busses.
Everything is going straight to the busses , the busses arent routed to any other busses, All Fx are routed to one bus. Everything is set up so that it should sound identical but it doesnt.

It's Official ! New Sony Acid 5 a Super Audio App.
I certainly hope that Vegas will be staying as it is. Needs improvements but its still the BEST, BESTEST or even the BESTESTEST multitracker in this solar system.

The really scary part for Sony is that they should realise that when other apps successfully copy their editing environment and ease of use then they will lose all their customers. If Cubase had the interface of Vegas i would change in a heartbeat. I am very tired of the "excuses" for not implementing Rewire and quite a few other things that have been requested. The reason´s for not implementing basic DAW functions (and that means DAw´s for today and the future not just a hard disc recorder for old people that have a problem with new and scary functions ) have to do with stability and ease of use ....Gimme a break....excuses , excuses For me it seems like a question of money and manpower and apparently Sony isnt ready to allocate either to make this the best Daw there is. Im confident that Vegas could toast the competition if they had the resources and came off this reluctancy to being really innovative and inspiring. It just seems weird that the company that came up with Acid for christ´s sake!!! , is having such problems realising what to do with Vegas. I have come to the conclusion that Sony is simply not clued up on how this business of engineering works today, simple as that. Times are moving fast and vegas isnt keeping up, which means that i will end up still using an outdated version of vegas in ten years when all other programs have neural interfaces and dna composers...why?? The bloody interface and thats it! So again...when that is successfully copied , im out´a here.

Blank events!?
These "empty" events used to contain sound and they were inserted by either recording them into the project or dragged from the explorer. I have never used the insert empty event. Im usually very careful about all my media , naming and folder placements. Im sure there is no other file in the project with the same name. This happened the other day with a recording i was doing where a LOT of the files went empty on me. Obviously the client wasnt very happy and insisted this was his best performance (yeah right) But i couldn´t fix it ! So we had to record again.

Vegas 5 bugs?
I was doing a save after completing an album and then i do Copy all media with project and trim copies. Thing is that i got the project with all files starting from Zero in order to maintian sync so there werea lot of silences. To get rid of the space they consume i wanted to trim the copies BUT after saving the whole album i noticed that the files in the folder were more or less untrimmed that is they were all the same length.?? This does not seem to happen with regular wave files but these files came from Fruityloops (most of them) and were apparently Acidized on the export from Fruity loops. I did lots of edits and those files seemed to get trimmed but the ones from Fruity did not so there seems to be a bug with trimming Acidized files.

Red , ...I know you are an intelligent guy , no doubt.' You also seem to know your stuff indside out , granted. We have had our differences but since then i have come to respect your knowledge and input to the is forum , not to mention your work as a beta tester for SF. But you need to work on your social skills bigtime. I do not understand why you resort to this kind of talk even though you find that you wholeheartedly disagree with someone. Why be so condescending? Maybe its just your writing style and im getting it all wrong? And why do you have such discontent for bedroom musicians? You do realise that bedroom musicians are the "pro´s" of the future. Do you really need a certain income to be eligible for commenting on this board. Seriosuly i mean no disrepect and i dont want to argue but i find this to be a flaw on someone that seems pretty cool in most aspects!? Confused! Besides to my best knowledge you will not hear a "delay " at 5 ms but you can hear the comb filtering. And you will hear phasing long before you hit the 20 -40 ms mark where you start to hear "two distinct sounds"

With #3 i mean where you have fx on sends (that come up next to the busses) you could render them seperately. Something that would use the same method as soloing the busses and render them . Basically a scrpit like that would just have to solo all tracks (one at a time) and render, with an option on wether to mute fx or render them as well. As for the busses then they could be scripted in the same manner , just soloing and rendering. Same goes for the fx busses where they could just be soloed and and rendered seperatly .It probably have to be a bit more intelligent then that as it would have to be able to render 3-4 fx sends seperatly even though they are all routed to the same buss. Ther could also be the scenario of a few busses routed to one buss (with the new bus to bus routing options) so there would have to be some intelligence or a few options in the script.
