@Nizar-AbuZayyad Just as an aside, once you follow the motherboard's manual to "initialize" the iGPU in the BIOS/UEFI, should it not initially show up as a choice in VEGAS Pro, you may have to do the "old-timey trick" of disconnecting your monitor cable from your Dedicated GPU and connect it to your Intel iGPU, then re-boot the computer. I cannot verify that on any of my systems, as I have not used a Mainstream Intel processor in my computer setups since Intel had the X58 chipset for HEDT, then after going X79 and X99 (Both Intel HEDT platforms), I moved over to AMD's X399, as well as a TRX40 platform. Possibly one of the other members' in the forum can attest to the "old-timey trick" if needed these days.

Well, easy 5 Minutes with sir Google, actually looking through the manual, and voila! Now, one can "activate" iGPU and follow the remaining tips, tricks, and suggestions previously. Of course, not a single person will be able to actually "Activate" the iGPU, since it would be directly in front/by you.

Vegas Pro Crashes a Lot on Every System I've Tried
@Forest-Walz Well, you can check my signature, and I don't have the kind of issues you are having with my machines. Plus, I started out using Movie Studio HD, after not ever being able to really figure out how to use Premiere Elements back then. Most of the issues I had with the various versions of VEGAS Pro/VEGAS Movie Studio (both during Sony's tenure, and now MAGIX), was not because of the NLE per say, but more of not using the correct type of input media. Yes, there have been some problems at times, but usually due to the Third Party "extra" software, and all were typically corrected/fixed or some type of "work-around if you will", that helped. Of course, I pretty much only use these two builds for editing, and even have a Third ThreadRipper system I strictly use for Office work, which it is definitely capable of editing video if needed. I also list the various cameras I use, and no matter what "setting" the camera may be set for to record, everything gets Transcoded to ProRes 422 or ProRes 422 HQ. Less trouble, Less Hagling, far fewer Headaches. Happy Editing!

GoPro11 HEVC 10BIT Files
Well, I don't need to download any of the GoPro files, as I have plenty of my own. Can see signature for both of my builds and all cameras. I walk daily to keep the VA doctors' happy, and use my GoPro Hero 9/10/11 (mostly) as if it was a support animal. The footage is either 4K30p (29.970), 5K30p, or 5.3K30p; all at High Bit Rate (though no option for the 5,6,7 - introduced with the Hero 8). Whether it is with build #1 using VP20, VP19, VP18, or DaVinci Resolve 18.5 B3, or build #2 using VP20, to ensure I have the issues of playback due in part to no Integrated GPU, I transcode the files using Shutter Encoder to ProRes 422. Problem Solved! Oh, and with my Three Canon Cameras, they are all set to shoot CLog3 (usually Cinema Gamut), and I transcode them to ProRes 422 HQ. Decided to do that every time since even though VP20 on either build will "playback" the 4:2:2 10-Bit HEVC, it is definitely not "Butter-Smooth". Plus, only having the "Free" version of DaVinci, it won't even open those files natively. As for the AX-53, just makes sense to transcode that 4K30p XAVC 100Mb to ProRes 422 as well. It will make your Editing NLE happy. Happy Editing!

No Hevc in Pro20? Crashes when importing. Today won´t even start
@walter-born I have almost the same computer as you (see in my Signature System #2). I do not use a Drone of any sort/manufacturer, though have been using GoPro's since the Hero 3+ Black. Again in signature, you can see the cameras I use. Early on, had a Canon T2i, T3i, T5i, and 80D; and a Panasonic Mini-DV camera. What I found from previously using Magix Movie Studio Suite/Platinum (or older Sony Versions) and earlier VEGAS Pro (Sony and Magix), during computer setup, after OS/Driver install, I would start any applications. Knowing the older versions of NLE's, including Premiere Elements, and the "Recording" devices (cameras), needed additional software installed to be able to effectively "see" the footage (or hear depending on NLE/Camera). So, I would always install the QuickTime Player (just that, nothing else - and now with Windows 10 use version 7.60.92; Windows 7 & 8/8.1 liked version 7.7.9 better). Now, since we know so many Companies want to "pass the buck" and push the cost onto the consumer, we have to pay for the HEVC CODEC activation ($0.99 - 99 cents), or as some of our brethern over on the Magix Video Pro X/Movie Studio forum know, paying for HEVC as well. Take a look here for some of Derek Moran's Tutorials (affectionately known as Dr. Zen), on some other possibly needed CODECS (can also check within the Movie Studio Tutorials as well), or possible needed software to assist. Worst case scenario, like those of us without the newer Intel Mainstream CPU's, you can use ShutterEncoder, as I have to, to be able to use my CLOG 3 from either Canon R6 or R7, as they record to 4:2:2 10-Bit. I Transcode them out to ProRes 422 SQ for buttery smooth editing. I do the same with all of my GoPro's (ProRes 422 LB though). So you could do the same with your DJI Mavic. Scour YouTube for people having issues trying to edit Canon R5/R6 footage when they were first released! ALL of the NLE's had problems with the footage. Happy Editing!

Vegas Pro 19&20 Preview Lag Canon R7 Files.
+1 @Steve_Rhoden I also have the Canon R7, along with the Canon R6. I shoot both using CLOG-3, HEVC, 4K Fine (UHD) 29.970. You can see my computer specs in signature. I prefer to use Shutter Encoder and transcode the files to Apple ProRes 422, as having only one monitor - lack of screen "real estate" - using proxies is tough for my eyes. But either proxy or transcode, I can edit quite "Smooth". I do this with GoPro Hero 7, 9, and 10 Black files, that are all in the GoPro H265 HEVC CODEC - again, all are 4K, 5K, or 5.3K 30p - though I tend to drop the transcode to 422 LT. And if I do happen to use proxies, it is quite easy to switch the "Preview" to Good/Best - Auto for color correction/grading, then back to Proxy mode for further editing. Been doing this since, especially with GoPro's for quite some years now editing with either VEGAS Pro, or the previous Movie Studio Platinum's. Guess if the GoPro Owner(s)/Developer(s) had kept the Cineform codec and up to date, we would still be using the old GoPro Studio to convert to Cineform .avi format. Yep, this may take a while to do (proxies or transcode), take up more room on drives (at least way cheaper than they used to be), but in the long run "Less Pain, More Gain".

Blue tint after updating AMD drivers
I also use the 22.5.1 (WHQL) drivers. As mentioned by @Howard-Vigorita , I tried the newer "Pro" 22.Q2 using my Reference XFX RX 6900XT on computer in signature using VEGAS Pro 20 (Bld. 139), and also had issues with VEGAS Pro 19 (Bld. 643) and VEGAS Pro 18 (Bld. 527) - all three pretty much told me to "Go Take a Hike, FatBoy!". So, reverted back to the WHQL 22.5.1 drivers, all is well in VEGAS Pro land! After experiencing that, decided to just stay with the WHQL driver for my other computer, also using a RX 6900XT and VEGAS Pro 18 (Bld. 527). That particular computer is also all AMD, with a 2950X coupled to an Asus ROG Strix X399-E Gaming, with 64 GB of RAM, and using all PCI-e drives for editing/gaming. Previously, on older computers, tried the older HD 7950/7970 cards, but thought it was the card, not the drivers. How wrong I think I am looking back at things. Also used to have issues with an MSI RX480, and now feel it may have been drivers as well. At least, when it comes to content creation or productivity apps - gaming it kicked butt!

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X CPU vs Vegas Pro
@marcinzm Using a AMD Threadripper 3960x on a MSI TRX40 Pro WiFi, 128 GB RAM, XFX (Reference Design) 6900XT, bunch of M.2 PCI-e 4.0 SSD's (both onboard slots, and a Asus Hyper Quad card). I have VEGAS Pro 18, 19, and just this past week, 20 installed, with the OS being Windows 10 21H2 64-Bit. Works fine for me, all three versions, including DaVinci Resolve 18 (Free). I use a Canon R6, R7, 80D; GoPro Hero 10, 9, 7, 6, & 5; Sony AX-33 & AX-53. If any of the footage from any of the cameras seems "choppy", got Shutter Encoder to transcode, usually, to Apple ProRes 422 or 422LT. As far as finding a 3970X, or even a 3960X/3990X, AMD has discontinued that platform in favor of the more "Workstation" version, WRX80 like @Gid is currently using. AMD has just recently "opened up" purchase to OEM's (other than the default Lenovo) and us "DIY'ers" to the ZEN 3 version of those processors, though only three are available for the DIY crowd which would be the 24/48, 32/64, and 64/128 (Cores/Threads). I live in the US, so can't help with anything on "that side of the pond", though you should be able to check NewEgg I guess? Biggest difference really between the TRX and WRX would be the amount of Total RAM, and up to twice the number of PCI-e Lanes (basically 64 vs. 128). They definitely are made more for the Workstation crowd, as if you put a more modest 1 or 2 Slot wide GPU, you have a bunch of available Slots to you for extra GPU's, or like the above Hyper Card (Asus, Asrock, MSI, and Gigabyte have them - though not all of them for general sale). I have the R7. It records video in 4K 30p (29.970), HEVC 4:2:2 10-Bit in C-LOG3. I transcode the footage with Shutter Encoder (current version of 12.6), to Apple ProRes 422. Those files are accepted into either version of VEGAS Pro 18 (Bld. 527) or VEGAS Pro 19 (Bld. 643). Open the Color Grading Panel once you "Highlight" the particular event/take/clip/etc. via ALT + G. Once there, you can use the scopes and do color correction, than grading, with the tools available, or additional FX added. Plus, as mentioned above, the downloadable Official Canon LUT package (which is the same for the R5/R5C/R6/R3/R7/R10), can be applied for the "camera", of which I use the 33 Grid version of Full. The R7 only does C-LOG3, if shooting LOG, unlike my R6 which also shoots C-LOG. Of course, you should be using the minimum ISO of 800 for the R7 while shooting C-LOG3, and in increments of x2 (1600, 3200, 6400, etc.), of which the R7 LUT package instructions state. Oh, the above versions of VEGAS Pro are on separate computers, which both run fine with either the R6 or R7 transcoded footage. I prefer that method over proxies for my workflow.

Wanting in-depth description of CBR, VBR, & NVENC Encoding
@Musicvid @fr0sty I am actually using MagicYUV in OBS, as even after you had mentioned using UT AVI, I found the files about the same (size-wise), but with all the cores I have for my processor(s) (24C/48T 3960x on one machine; 16C/32T 2950X on another), I prefer MagicYUV. I can use the files in either VP 18/527 or VP 19/532. I have provided my screenshot of the settings: MagicYUV version is 2.3.2 Ultimate

swap space on your cache drive?
@Former user I know from your "signature", that you use the WRX80 platform with Threadripper Pro. I use two different PC's with a 2nd Gen and one with 3rd Gen Threadripper. Both computers, besides the motherboard mounted M.2 drives, I have the Asus M.2 x 16 adapters, for an additional Four (4) M.2 drives. In the screenshot, you can see where I have the Temporary (Cache) files, which you can access via the "Options > Preferences" location, and at the bottom see where the "Default" location is (typically in the AppData Hidden folder area). If you have a spare M.2 to put in an adapter as above (or a single M.2 PCI-e adapter card), use that for any programs "Cache" or "Temporary" file location. From one of your previous posts, I saw that you were contemplating purchasing one of these adapters, or already have it (Just checked: your board came with the Hyper M.2 card - unless you purchased "Open Box" and didn't get it). And, you definitely have plenty of PCI-e slots, all of which are @16 speed. So you only need to go into the BIOS/UEFI, and set the particular slot to 4x4x4x4, or I think Asus calls it "RAID", so the 16 lanes get bifurcated down to 4x4x4x4. Hope that helps. And, you don't need a superfast M.2, but since you are rocking Gen 4, go that route. Of course, the cheaper route could even be getting say a 1 or 2 TB Samsung EVO SATA SSD, which would work as well. @Mindmatter Though I am not a follower of his on YouTube, Alex Halford, does produce a lot of content for VEGAS Pro. This is one site he uses for Motion Graphics, of which I use to be a subscriber to as well. I stopped my subscription to the site due to actually using VEGAS Pro/VEGAS Movie Studio less. The content I downloaded worked well in either program. Just have to ensure you get don't get the After Effects content/templates. The site has both a "Free" account, and a Subscription, your choice. Vegas Pro does not open video file .mov (4K frame rate 25)
It was asked about someone with "AMD" GPU to test file. Yes, it works. Saw thumbnail in Project Media folder after import. Put on timeline, accepted Resolution/Frame Rate, and was able to play/stop/resume/reverse using keyboard spacebar or J-K-L. Vegas Pro 19 (Bld. 532); AMD Radeon VII (Radeon Pro 21.Q4.3 - Dec 2021); Win 10 Pro 64-Bit (19044.1586) Computer specifications in signature.

ram motherboard locations?
@Former user Nope. As I stated above, it is for the "TOTAL" number of Slots that the motherboard and the Particular manufacturer module, is officially supported. So what it means, is that with the particular modules from that manufacturer, they would fill either 1, 2, 4, or 8 of the total DIMM Slots on the motherboard. And yes, I do know that your motherboard is a "Server" variant, as are the majority of HEDT platforms from either Intel or AMD. I currently have an MSI TRX40 Pro WiFi with a 3960X (24 Core/48 Thread); as well as a 2950X (2nd Gen Threadripper) on an Asus ROG X399-E Gaming. I have an old Gigabyte X99 Wifi Intel HEDT as my Home Server. Guess being a retired IT Nerd got me going that way, as like Forum Member John Dennis, I worked with our Servers (and other stuff, naturally!) at the School District I retired from. About the only real difference between the WRX80 and TRX40 chipsets is that your board has the Octo Channel Memory (One DIMM Slot for each Channel), mine is Quad Channel. Confusing, yes. Plus, your board supports 128 PCI-e Lanes for all that GPU processing (if you have the right software), or what I would use it for: A LOT OF PCI-e STORAGE. Imagine having Four of those M.2x16 PCI-e Expanders with 4TB on each Connector? That's a lot of Transcoded Canon R6 C-LOG3 4K30p HEVC to ProRes Goodness! Mike

@Former user That just means you can use each particular DRAM module in either one DIMM slot, two, four, or eight. Which for that WRX80 chipset you have equates to either: Single, Dual, Quad, or Octo Channel. If you are only purchasing a total of Four (4) of the modules, you have to check the motherboard manual for the correct location of only using 4 modules, which most of the time for the Mainstream or HEDT Intel/AMD platforms the typical DIMM arrangement is: Looking at CPU Socket, go to second DIMM Slot, then skip next, then use the next slot for correct Dual/Quad channel (this is true for the Intel HEDT or AMD Threadripper boards with Eight DIMM Slots with four on each side [unless those pesky mATX four slot boards] of the socket, so each of the two "Further Away" slots). So looking at your screenshot of the Motherboard DIMM Slots, and if you are only using a total of Four (4) sticks, you would use DIMM Slots B1, D1 (which correspond to the "outer" sets of DIMM slots), and you would do the same on the other side of the socket. I would say which ones, but your screenshot cut off the upper part of the board, so not sure which slots are numbered; though if I had to "hazard a guess", I would say it would be slots F1, then H1. SONY FDR AX53 setting up
Hi @JohnJ I saw this post and grabbed my AX53 to check. I'll be honest, not seeing what you are. Could you give a bit more context as to what particular settings you are using on the camera itself: i.e. 4K/30p, XAVC-S, Bit Rate, etc., so I can set my camera up the same and look? Possibly even a screen shot/grab? My settings, which are under "Menu - Image Quality/Size": REC Mode: 100Mbps Frame Rate: 30p Dual Video REC: Off File Format: XAVC S 4K Image Size M (8.3M) From Menu - Shooting Mode - Movie I do know there are a couple more Forum members who use this camera, as well as the AX100/AX700 (not sure if menu system exactly alike), and I also have the AX33 which is almost exactly the same. Possibly one of the other features you set within the "Setup" menu like "Peak" "White Balance" "Zebras", etc. Let us know. Mike "The Chief" O'Sullivan

Titles & Text super slow typing
A quick guess, just saying: thing about typing delay wont happen all the time, maybe after being editing some time... Possible system overheating, like either the CPU, GPU, or possibly both? Maybe other components in the case, that are "Lacking" Air Flow, due to dust/hair build-up, blocked fans, etc.?

You can also look at mine, though I have used a variety of computers, and can't remember if I updated my signature to my main editing rig of TRX40 3960x and associated hardware. I've had the AX-53 about one year less than the AX-33, which would have basically the same MediaInfo as above, and have edited the footage on Intel X99 (Haswell-E & Broadwell-E processors), AMD X399 (1st & 2nd Gen Threadripper's), nVidia GTX1080, nVidia RTX 2070, AMD RX480, and now both editing rigs I use have AMD Radeon VII. This, going back using either VEGAS Pro 15, 17, 18, & 19, along with VEGAS Movie Studio Platinum 15, 16, & 17. Depending on when it was, or which machine, the XAVC needed either Proxies at the time, or transcoded (Usually used Grass Valley HQX - put original clip(s) on timeline, then render using VP or VMS). Nowadays, its pretty easy, of course, depending on your hardware. Hope this helps.

Canon Eos R6 and Vegas 17
I use VEGAS Pro 17 (b. 455) along with the Canon EOS R6, and also shoot in CLOG, though typically at 3840x2160 @ 29.970, so I can match my GoPros' or either the AX-33/AX-53 from Sony. Typically, here is the Bit Rates from these guys: GoPro Hero 9 Black - 100 Mbps (HEVC) GoPro Hero 7 Black - 60 Mbps (HEVC) / GoPro Hero 5 Black same BR though only AVC GoPro Hero 6 Black - 68 Mbps Sony AX-33/AX-53 - 100 Mbps (XAVC-S) Canon EOS R6 - 170 Mbps (CLOG -HEVC - and it is IPB since they have not incorporated ALL-I) What I do after ingesting footage from the R6, is open VP17, then use HOS Import Assist and Transcode out to the now ProRes that was implemented for VP17/VP18. For the Hero 9 Black, I just preview the clips in MPC-HC (x64) (from the HOS Install), then figure out which ones I want to keep, and remove the rest. I typically, again using HOS, transcode those files to MagicYUV. Though now, starting to use ProRes more for them. Reasoning for this style, is that I shoot in the 5K mode with the GoPro Hero 9, and it looks great in 4K. Why transcode? Well, both my comptuers are AMD ThreadRippers (2950X and 2920X) and both have AMD Radeon VII GPU's. Though all footage is on NVMe PCI-e SSD's. So, no Intel Hardware Assisted Encode/Decode for me. Plus, once I am done and ready to render, I can "kick it off" then go wash dishes, watch a movie, mow the lawn, etc. while leaving the machine alone to do its thing. Using a 32 inch 4K monitor on each computer, and tried dong the "Proxy" flow, but my eyes are not that good. I also have a home-built server as a NAS, so once projects done, move all footage down to it for safe-keeping, so plenty of drive space. And those NVMe drives work fantastic with ProRes, Cineform, MagicYUV, UTVideo, etc. Heck, even doing screen recording in OBS, I have the file format for using the CPU in AVI with either MagicYUV or UTVIdeo, so no issues there, with the exception that these files are HUGE! That was using version 26.1 of OBS, and not sure if there is any file size difference with the newer Version 27 that was recently released. Test for another time. Moral of the Story: Give Wayne a jingle on the Web, Tickle that cute little Otter with some monetary delight, and enjoy all that HOS has to offer. Oh, and if you prefer not to use ProRes in the transcoding, visit the MagicYUV site and purchase that Ultimate Edition, which when installed prior to HOS, will be incorporated into the available formats for use.

Vegas Movie Studio (up to ver. 17)on 3/27/2021

@David1776 So, you have a "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020" compatible running system, but can't use Movie Studio 17? Hmmm, my signature, for one of my systems is a ThreadRipper 2950X, ROG X399-E Gaming, 64GB memory, Radeon VII, Windows 10, OS/APPS/Source are all NVME drives (separate, of course!), and I run both Vegas Pro 17 (452) and Movie Studio Platinum (204), along with DaVinci Resolve 17 (Basic or Free - however you want to call it), with no problems. And that is with keeping Dynamic Ram at default, as well as most of the other settings you hear about on the forums, that members/users do so their systems run either of the above Magix VEGAS products, in a satisfactory or above experience. Two other current systems: one approximately the same as above but using 2920X processor, the other is my original ThreadRipper 1950X on an MSI X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC that runs Movie Studio 16 Platinum (since both Platinum 17/Vegas Pro 17 licenses are currently in use). Oh, and I have just tested a script by one of our frequent contributors for transcoding Canon R6 C-LOG footage (which is what I only shoot in with that camera!), which worked great going from HEVC to Pro Res. Both of my GoPro Hero 9 Black(s), which I shoot in 5K with HEVC, are imported fine, with rarely creating Proxies. Both of my GoPro Hero 7 Black(s), which I shoot 4K 30p in HEVC Compression, a GoPro Hero 6 and Hero 5 Black, both in 4K 30p work fine. My Sony AX-33 and AX-53, both in 4K 30p using XAVC at 100 Mbit run fine. And lets not forget about the older Canon 80D that usually does 1080p 30 in ALL-I compression. So, what's your beef? Because currently the only thing we know is you game using FS2020, and use MSP17. Besides that, you haven't told us, let alone shown us, anything. And to show us those settings, source material information, just look at the Forum main page where you would pick which product, and on there is a link for the required information, because I sure am not going to link it.

Canon R6-4k 50 files don't work -vegas 17
@skalbkali AMD Driver Link You might need to change your language at the site, but just go through each box. First one for "Graphics", Second one you will need to "scroll down" once or twice to bring up "Radeon 500 Series", Third Box pick RX 500 Series, Fourth and final is your RX580. Click on "Submit". Subsequent page will open the list for available drivers for the various Operating Systems. For the transcoding, go to the Happy Otter Scripts site. There is nothing I can write that would do any justice for the various "Tutorials" that Wayne has already posted on his site about the different "Tools". Happy Otter will not run under Movie Studio, so if I need any transcoding done, I just do it within Vegas Pro first, and then pick a suitable codec (usually MagicYUV or Grass Valley HQX), of which either of those are excellent within Movie Studio. And if you don't like either of the above, or don't like Pro Res, you can always output to UT Video, which another forum member (Musicvid) highly recommends. Of all of them, MagicYUV does seem to have the largest file size, but with the newest version of MagicYUV Ultimate, utilizes all those cores. You can find that awesome program Here. Also, at least one mention in the forums. @JN- @RogerS Gentlemen, thank you. For the Canon R6 (I am not sure about the R5), they DO Not (Canon) have any software for Windows/MAC. That is for their "Cinema Line" of cameras, though the 1DXIII may have it, and possibly I believe the 5DIV. My previous Canon cameras were the Rebel T1i, T3i, T5i (Does that say something about liking the Odd numbers?), and still currently WILL NOT give up my 80D. Canon does have the DPP (Digital Photo Professional) for the stills side, which is why I do not have a subscription to Adobe for Lightroom anymore, as I find that DPP does an satisfactory job on my pictures. I only shoot in RAW, no JPEG/HEIF, and from the RAW within DPP I can export to either a High-Res JPEG, but typically a gorgeously large TIFF file. If the picture doesn't look great, I put that down to the Idiot holding the 80D/R6 and not having the settings correct (which seems to be a High Percentage of times! 😁)
