I have an IKEA desk with the unfortunate name of Jerker. While researching the ill effects of sitting for long periods, I decided I shall stand! I repositioned the Jerker work space and now edit upright. The adjustable desks with gas cylinders to raise and lower at will look cool. Price tag is a bit rich though. I've even seen one with a tread mill attached! On the other end of the spectrum, we have "Happy's" easy chair! LOL. Bless you Friar,...now we know you are NOT a Jesuit!!! Hahaha.

Tried all this and can't access Audio_TS and Video_TS folders. Right clicking "Open" in either SVP or Explorer does not reveal these folders. When opened only an an MPEG icon appears 744 MBs in size, and two other files, one designated as mpg.scc is empty and the other designated as mpg.skf with 1.04 MBs of information. When I right click on the mpeg icon a drop down appears with several options but no Audio_TS and Video_TS folders. Thanks for the suggestions, but it seems I am stonewalled. .

Can't find VTS_01_0.IFO file. What is the process after import? This is where I think I am missing a step. Do I right click to find this file to navigate VIDEO_TS folder? Must be missing a step or something.

Pardon my ignorance, but is it possible to pull MPEG2 onto the SVP timeline, edit, and render out to mpg4? I'm still looking for VOB or ISO or something. Right click? How do I find that, those files? They aren't readily accessible from what I can tell. Maybe I need software to find. Dan

Render, Preview Window and Match Aspect Ratio

OK, I've sorted some of this. I did a right click on the preview window and got the toolbar, status bar and transport bar back. But I didn't deactivate them. Default Background is checked as is similar Device Aspect Ratio Show status bar and show transport bar. But there is nothing IN the preview window,...it is a black rectangle. Which makes no sense as there are images on the timeline.Oh dear,...

Preview
Not that it makes a whole lot of difference, as the preview window is only a reference. Usually edit with a resolution setting of Preview (half). But recently regardless of the render setting, the preview window always shrinks to half the size, but only during the render. I'm curious why that would happen now, and not before. I'm curious about a lot of other things too,... like what is my dog is thinking when he is lying on the floor, watching me edit? Dan

Preview
So it's is the preview window that shrinks to half size during rendering. Before and after the preview window is filled. And the render is according to the template settings, custom or off-the-rack. What I'm racking my brain about is why the image in the preview window goes to half during render. Been using Vegas Pro for more than ten years and never had that happen before Vegas Pro 12 build 714. Must have hit a setting in error. Anyway, renders are good, and that's what matters.

So the preview window resolution setting has nothing at all to do with the render quality. That right?
