VEGAS Pro 20 Build 326 General Thread
Okay. The update went smooth and works great on my desktop. Here I am a few weeks later trying to apply the same update to my laptop, and no the in-app update fails repeatedly. So, I am stuck waiting for the download link to work....and am honestly thinking the Magix update servers need some serious upgrades. I am getting bits and kilobytes of download speed on a fully functioning gigabit connection. >.< AMD Ryzen 5 5000 series, 16gb ram, AMD Radeon (I think Vega 8, no hate as this is for raw photos, and 720p vids while traveling), 500gb ssd. Edited to fix spelling.

Small selection of animation options for Vegas titles
Yep. Titler Pro will do it. So will Vegas with Title Preset 4, two text layers, the layer dimensionality glow effect, and masking. Maybe a lens flare keyframed to the mask motion.... It is also possible in Vegas Effects using the String Fade Behavior, a duplicate text layer, super glow, and keyframed masks (this is all way easier than it sounds).

How to make text transaprent so only VFX show through?
I think frOsty is right. Apply the effect to a mask of the text. ... If you were using Vegas Effects, this is what I would do to mimic the effect.

Wow! It is really beautiful the way you did it. Did you really do it with just Vegas 20? That is so cool! I however doubt that I would be able to follow a Premier Pro tutorial using Vegas. I am new to Vegas so I am still learning the ropes. :D But Thank you. You gave me hope. Still only six months or so into learning the ropes myself, but I am used to adapting skill and tutorials from other programs over into Vegas at this point. ;)

HitFilm Vibrance is the exact effect you are looking for... I used to use it all the time. Unfortunately, it's the only way I know for sure to create this exact effect in VEGAS, and it requires a HitFilm Creator or Pro level subscription. It's possible VEGAS Effects has a similar effect, I will check when I get a chance. I'm affraid I'll have to switch to Adobe Premiere Pro cuz I need this effect and I'll end up paying more than I can afford atm if I use Vegas and HitFilm Pro. Thank you so much for clearing things up for me. :D It works. Just follow those tutorials you posted using the effects and blending modes included with Vegas. Note: I put the effects on a copy of the video placed on an upper layer, instead of an adjustment layer. That way the blending modes applied correctly.

Vegas Effects included FX
Yep. Everything on the screenshot of effects that you linked work well for me. Lightning was needed for my workflow too, as well as other big effects, hence Post. System is AMD Ryzen 7 3700, 32gb ram, Nvidia 2060, Win 11.

Vegas Pro 20 - VFX for Gameplay
Depends on the footage and what you want to do. Simple color adjustments? You might get away with just using the black point and white point pickers and adding a bit of saturation or brightness. Beyond that, you might look into a lut you can apply once the footage is color graded, for uniformity.

Just click the first node you created. It closes the loop and makes the mask active.

@janndk, @Elynde I have seen several reports of TP7 working correctly in VEGAS Pro 20 build 214. If it's not working, my first suggestion would be to do a clean install which, basically, means uninstalling TP7, deleting any left over files and registry entries, and then reinstalling. But Magix did work on issues with TP7 and Boris not properly loading in build 214. I did the clean install. When that didn't work, I went to update my existing ticket with NewBlue. They responded by having me completely remove Titler 7 again, and sent me a beta version to test that works beautifully. However, the beta comes up as a trial version and doesn't take my keys, so I am working on getting a non-watermarked version of the beta update from NewBlue. ... I am so happy I will be able to access my titles again without having to render them stand-alone!

Can confirm. Titler Pro 7 still fails to launch. @Elynde Actually, Titler Pro 7 has been tested and confirmed to work in VEGAS Pro 20 build 214. If you're having an issue, please contact NewBlue support. Yes, I will contact NewBlue again and update my existing ticket. I have removed Titler Pro 7, its caches, the app data folders, and reset the Vegas cache before rebooting my system entirely for good measure. Installed Titler Pro 7 again and allowed Vegas to boot up after. I thought that did it at first, but it still hangs if you need to change a title in a saved project. Video of the issue after repeating my test (note it did not hang on initial launch the first time, only on the launches after it failed to open a saved project's title):

they really need to address the updater in Vegas. Slow.. been that way for a long time. More bandwidth needed :) Or give us the downloadable link.. The bandwidth issue is something high on the priority list for our IT department. The just finished a major update of the customer service system, which had taken almost a year to implement. Hopefully they will now be freed up to try to address this issue. It took about one hour to download 😕 Anyway - the update process went smoothly, and everything seems to work just fine 👍 …or almost everything. VEGAS Movie Expansion Pack still not compatible with Vegas Pro 20 😒 Can confirm. Titler Pro 7 still fails to launch.

Forgive for using cracked vegas pro
You are forgiven...... But we are mostly not staff, this is a user forum...... Make your purchase as soon as you can. ok thank you, about the purchase, i know there are 3 kinds of vegas pro purchase which are : monthly , yearly and license key, about the license key, is it life time ? My understanding is that the license option gives you that version of the software for the life of the product but with only a year or so of updates. So, after that it just depends on how long it lasts before the underlying OS or video standards change enough to want to upgrade.

Suggestions For Ways VEGAS Can Improve
Smoother playback in the preview window please. I have tried every "fix" I can find on the matter, and it is still guesswork on how a project will look because the preview window is so lagged.

Titler Pro plug-in not working with Vegas Pro 20
Title Pro Standalone is opening and working fine, and exporting mov-files. But Vegas Pro has problems using these files = black background (no transparency). Don't know if it is Titler Pro og Vegas Pro to blame? Did you tell Vegas to use the alpha matte for that .mov file?

If you are talking about Titler Pro failing to open in Vegas 20 (giving only a white screen), yes. NewBlue is aware of the issue, but I would recommend contacting NewBlue FX about it and getting yourself a support ticket for it. The more of us there are awaiting a solution, the more impetus they have to figure the problem out. I am waiting for their solution myself. Screen Captured video of the problem: The good news is, Titler Pro does still work as a stand-alone. So, you can render titles to .MOV files for the time being if needed.

VEGAS Pro 20 feedback
An alternative is to use Magix's sound forge audio studio 16 (the cheap version of sound forge pro), as to my surprise there is also a text to speech capability inside sound forge audio studio 16 (altough there the language seems limited to English only)... Where in Audio Studio 16 is this text to speech capability? I have a full version of that program and can't find the feature in question.
