Beautifully edited and I like your choice of music for the home movie. Those will be special fond memories for her, ah the nostalgia. Life seemed so peaceful back then and no one got upset when someone cut in the traffic. Just when you thought you were motoring down the road and some lunatic overtakes you with a bicycle, LOL

Best backup software?
Norton 15 works with Win7 and saved my bacon on my c: system drive. It makes incremental changes on the boot drive. I use it for all my media and projects. You not may think it important to backup until one day........! Also I use a ICYDOCK tray to mount my backup drive then remove the drive after backups. This is very important

On the preview window you'll see a +. You need to click the clock-animate button. Then drag on the timeline where to end.

OT: Camera That Changed Filmmaking Forever- Docie
We take so much for granted. The editing was a nightmare to sync the audio of Kennedy's speech to the video. Although those cameras were "portable" they weren't light.

A different kind of GoPro video.
I often use the GoPro in wedding videos. Inside the bridal car, also alongside the bridal car where I stick it out my window on a monopod while they wave and smile makes for awesome shots. Overhead pan of guests waving and cheering. I don't use the GoPro audio It's not that type of cam. The trick is to mount it on a GoPole or in my case a DIY pod by inverting a monopod with the GoPro mounts on the foot of the monopod.

bm pocket camera?
What's mind blowing about the comparison is the sensor size of the BMD against Canon's full frame. It's amazing that BMD can even be compared. Price wise, the BlackMagic Design is slightly cheaper than the Canon

WWJD asked "so what is the sensor in a Canon T3i/600D? it's smaller also, I think, right?" These Canon cameras have an APS-C sensor and have a crop factor of 1.6. So a 50mm lens will be 50 x 1.6 = 80mm. If the BM pocket camera has a crop factor of 3 then it'll be 50 x 3 = 150mm. Yea bummer indeed.

Yea I found this out when I did a re-install about a year ago. PI 309 is now 64bit and uses 4 processors ISO only 2. Since the update I find it crashes less. The only thing is that most of the emitters are sort of standard definition in that the emitter artwork is low quality.

Did you render that part out successfully? What is you preview quality set to? I have experienced this before. I found a bad frame which I removed. Since you imported it into SV11 with same result it may be a corrupt portion in the MTS file.

Editing RAW
Search on YouTube for "OliviaTech Blackmagic" She put out a challenge on a RAW BlackMagic clip which you can download from her website. On her YouTube channel you'll see many edits. You can edit it with Vegas.

Editing RAW
I did download a BlackMagic RAW video sample file and Vegas edited it no problem. Also there's a lot of hype about the RAW DNG image sequences that is generated from Canon cameras installed with a firmware enhancement called Magic Lantern. These DNG files cannot be edited in Vegas (yet).

Here the awesomeness from Magic Lantern. They've taken the Canon 50D which is a 6 year old non-video DSLR camera and have given you free firmware to make it shoot RAW (High Dynamic video without audio). The test have proven that that sensor size and pixel density are better than the later model sensors. Suddenly that camera is doubled it's value. Canon 50D shooting RAW

force clip longer
Try CTL drag making it longer. If you insert event velocity you can slow it down to 0% which will freeze the frame. OR you can speed it up to 300%.

RAW video with Canon MKiii
So the workflow is to use RAW2DNG.EXE to extract 1000s of DNG files from the Canon's huge RAW movie file. Can Vegas make use DNG image files?
