Titling: Out of Curiosity...
So, what am I missing out on with the titler options that come with Vegas? Might be some fun to make advanced (3D) titles and intros with a litte effort. See for examples: https://www.outerspace-software.com/blufftitler They already invented the wheel! So for me a (universal) mechanism that gives the feeling that such an existing application is (semi) integrated in Vegas Pro would suffice (like the semi integration of Hitfilm standalone and Voukoder in Vegas Pro).I think it would be relative easy for the Vegas team to publish the specifications of such an (existing) mechanism to make it easier to (semi) integrate other third party software in Vegas Pro. Vegas Pro "Protype Titler" deserves an update
I like the idea of a simple mechanism that semi-integrates standalone titlers from different brands into Vegas Pro. Such as the integration of Hitfilm: Right click on a (video) clip on the timeline in Vegas Pro and choose "Edit in Hitfilm".In the background the clip is rendered in Vegas Pro (or exported?).The standalone version of Hitfilm opens with the rendered clip from Vegas. Modify the clip as you like in Hitfilm. Close Hitfilm.In the background the modified clip is rendered in Hitfilm.The modified clip becomes the active (video) take on the timeline in Vegas Pro.The original clip is still available as a second (video) take of the clip. Advantages of this mechanism: Simple. Users almost feel that Hitfilm is integrated into Vegas Pro. Developers do not need to maintain different versions (standalone and plug-in version). It is not necessary to really adapt existing (standalone) software to comply with OFX or other standards. Could potentially work for any standalone title software or even any other software. It seems to be a universal low cost solution if implemented in such a way that all the required configuration for software to integrate is done with a text file (with public documentation). The Vegas team already has experience with this kind of (Hitfilm) integration. For title software there may be a need for 2 menu options ("Edit in <Name of Title software> with background" and "Edit in <Name of Title software> without background"). The length of the (empty) clip (event) on the Timeline can be the default length of the title. Let a few people work out this idea and something universal and practical could be the result.........

Vegas Pro "Protype Titler" deserves an update
I posted my suggestion in the BluffTitler forum too: https://www.outerspace-software.com/community/12819/blufftitler-integrated-in-vegas-pro I got this answer: A few years ago we tried to implement a Vegas Plugin, but the lack of support and interest from MAGIX killed the project. Come on Vegas Team, you say things are different now! Proof it and support others who can deliver title software users really want! If you don't' want to support just one company (like you did with Newblue) and you don't have the resources in the short term to develop an advanced titler yourself, how about a (free) addition of scripting or a special API for title software so that third-party developers can (semi) integrate their title software with Vegas Pro? It can be a win - win situation, but only if things have really changed within Magix / the Vegas development team (if it isn't marketing chat).

Developed by a small company that is fully committed to what they do. Rock solid, GPU powered, low cost and is actively being further developed. All you need to do is get in touch with the developers and put together some exchange code for it. The user experience should be that it is integrated into Vegas Pro (like Hitfilm is semi integrated in Vegas Pro; some file exchanges in the background and some menu options from the Vegas GUI). I think it would cost the Vegas team very little effort. Just my idea.

Super deal offered on VP18 edit. Seeking advice from you experts.
It is a pity that this "super deal" is not available for people from the EU. I got the promotional message too when I opened VMS 17 Platinum.But when I wanted to buy I got this message:"Dear Customer. For legal reasons, a purchase from the United States Shop is only possible if the location of the invoice receiver is not located in an EU country." Never had this before with Sony or Magix. I couldn't find the same discount in the international or dutch website.Yesterday nothing, today promotion: €149,- including 21 % tax. 1 € = 1,22 dollar; should cost about the same in € (about € 100).Origin owner software (Magix): Germany (EU)!So I saved money and I stay with VMS 17 Platinum and Vegas Pro 14...........😀😀

Workflow for multicamera editing on the beats
Thanks for this clear tutorial video.An extra hint if you want random camera switches with a variable length (for example a length of 1, 2 or 3 beats): in Vegasaur use "Switch Takes - Random" instead of "Switch Takes - Multicam". I saw another user (Adrian Vida) use this option and maybe someone else finds this option useful.

@Former user Thank you for the video's with different methods, including Music Video Sync, so everybody can choose his own workflow. @Kinvermark Music Video Sync has some "artistic" features (see the manual): "Beat offset", f.i. if your Marker "beat interval" is every 4 beats and you want to cut starting from beat 3 (so cuts are on beat 3, 7, 11... instead on beat 1, 5, 9...); "Slide around beats", slide a fixed number of video frames around the calculated beat positions; "Random Slide (+ or -), slide a random number of video frames around the calculated beat positions. Enough to make some non standard "artistic" video edits?

Great tutorial. One addition.If you find out that your particular song or live music doesn't have a fixed BPM (tempo changes) or Mixmeister doesn't detect the correct BPM for the song / live music, try Music Video Sync (V2). It uses a sophisticated algorithm (of Queen Mary University of London) to detect the "real" positions of the beats (the Marker positions).

Video editing to the beat for Vegas Pro and Movie Studio
At the moment this isn't possible. Actually I started this (personal) project as an (unfinished) extension / script till I realized that: for the features I wanted an application in combination with 2 standard Vasst apps can do the job; the Vasst apps are available for Vegas Pro and MovieStudio; my own extension would never work with Movie Studio without the coöperation of Magix; the Vasst apps were / are not expensive (at least at the time of the first release of Music Video Sync); no worries for me with extentions not fully compatible with the newest versions of Vegas Pro (that I don't own and can not use to test with); developping extensions and scripts for different Vegas version / languages and operating system can be time consuming and is often more complicated as I wish; how many people would actually donate (= saying "thank you") for a more time consuming extension development without the need of the Vasst apps? Maybe some day.........

Apply stabilization to multiple clips - VP16?
The current batch stabilizer script should work for Vegas Pro 14 and up. At least if Magix didn't change something like the identification of the old stabilizer plugin. Has somebody actually tested my batch stabilizer script (for the old stabilizer) in Vegas Pro 16?Does it work and, if not, what are the results (which errors?) Is the name of the old batch stabilizer plugin in Vegas Pro 16 the same as in Vegas Pro 14?

Apply stabilization to multiple clips - VP16?
It would be great if the developer did an update including the new Vegas Video Stabilizer and Vegas Video I am the developer of the batch stabilisation script that you can download from my website ( www.focusonvegas.com ). It would be great if everybody who is downloading would donate some money on my website also..... This would motivate me to buy new versions of Vegas Pro that I don't really need personally (video editing as a hobby). I am still with Vegas Pro 14. It is not a matter of not having the money but for me it is a matter of (donation) principles. Why would I spend extra hobby time and money for the community for things I don't really need myself if the donations of the community don't pay the (upgrade) bills? I don't have to promote a company or myself with my website. So be patient till I feel the personal need to upgrade to a new version of Vegas Pro and till I feel the personal need to make a new script for the new stabilizer(s).

I like to edit video synchronously with music (on the beat).I developed my own tool and workflow for that: https://www.focusonvegas.com/music-video-sync-v2/ I still use it, but in my opinion 'the next big thing' for Vegas MovieStudio (and Vegas Pro) is that the whole process can be done comfortably (with sophisticated onset detections) in MovieStudio itself (so no need for an external program, external university beat-detector and third parties plugins). Using my tool saves me a lot of time: after I have cut the inpoints of my clips to my needs the process to edit all the clips at once on the beats of music is a matter of minutes instead of hours. I have always wondered why Vegas lacks such a tool.

Editing to the beat of the music...how?
Before I "developed" my tool "Music Video Sync" (MVS 2) I did some "research" and observations. Basically I wanted a tool that assists me with (automatic) editing video to the beat. Doïng it manually is possible but is a lot of work to get it right. Music can contain changes in tempo (doesn't always have a fixed beat). To sound more "human", beats are often placed not on the same time interval (on purpose). Simple automatic onset (peak / beat) detection algorithms don't give reliable results for different kinds of music. Sophisticated algorithms like the "Beatroot" algorithm (from the Queen Mary, University of London) give better results. Vegas Pro and MovieStudio don't come with a (sophisticated) beat detection algorithm for the audio. The only way to import "detected beat data" in Movie Studio is with the VASST Marker Maker app (Magix seems to regulate which company has access / permission for making extensions for Movie Studio). The only (?)way to automatically "edit" clips on the timeline on the markers (beat) is to use the “Still Motion” app. Onset (peak / beat) detection gives standard a lot of markers that aren't necessary; in practice you don't want a video cut on every beat, but f.i. on every 4 th beat, starting with the 3 th beat. In practice you want to edit with video frame accuracy; you don't want markers (cuts) between video frames. So it is necessary "to align" the beat data on the video frames (that is why MVS needs the frame rate of your project). Sometimes you want to (random) slide around the beat locations with some videoframes f.i. to make your editing more "human". MSVS is based on this information. It encapsulates beat detection and it makes it possible to import only the (beat) markers you want at the right place. My main workflow (details as selecting the right tracks are here not described): Place the video clips you want in your edit on the timeline. (optional) Edit the left side of the clips for the "right" start positions of the clips. Place your music on the timeline and save your project. Start MSVS, select a music file and let it analyse the beat data (onsets). Select in MSVS the right (project) video framerate, beat interval and beat offset and save the markers ("write VASST Marker Maker file"). Import the markers with the Marker Maker app (extension) in Vegas Movie Studio / Vegas Pro. Check if the choosen beat interval and beat offset are right for you. If not, undo the marker import, change some settings in MVS, write the markers and (re) import the changed markers. Use the Stillmotion app to place the clips automatically on the marker positions (on the beat; right sides of the clips 'll be trimmed). Complicated? Maybe, but in my opinion sophisticated as well. I can now do this kind of edits in minutes that costed me hours before. The best solution would be if Magix would integrate this functionality in Vegas Movie Studio and Vegas Pro or if a third party (like VASST) would make an app (extension) based on this.

Have you tried http://www.focusonvegas.com/music-video-sync-v2/ ? The download contains all you need, except the VASST apps, including a PDF with a description of the method I use. My (free) tool is video editor independant (no script) but is optimized for (Sony / Magix) Movie Studio (!) and Vegas Pro. The workflow uses the VASTT FasstApp’s: “Marker Maker” and “StillMotion” (about 10 dollar each or € 12 tax included). Music Video Sync uses in the background audio analyser software (Sonic Annotator with Beatroot-vamp plugin) of Queen Mary, University of London. The basic workflow: 1. Detect beats in your music and export Markers for some beats with Music Video Sync V2 (my tool). 2. Import the Markers in Movie Studio or Vegas Pro with the extension (app) “Marker Maker” from VASST. 3. Move and change duration of video events according the placed Markers (beats) automatically with the extension (app) “Still Motion” from VASST. The best solution would be if this functionality was built in Vegas Pro / Movie Studio as a dedicated flexible function (for that I want to pay), but for me this method is second best and cheap (if you still have to buy the VASTT apps) or free (if you already own these).I was developing a Vegas Pro script that replaces the need of the VASST apps for markers and timeline manipulation, but probably I won't publish it because only few people seem to be interested in this subject, the VASST apps are good and cheap and it cost me a lot of time to develop and to support scripts (language differences, Windows 10 dll blocking etc.).

@bob-h I have tested MSVPVF with Windows 7 64 bit, but it should work with Windows 8 or 10.Maybe I can help you if you answer the questions below: Did it crash for you once or all the time? Windows 8 64 bit or 32 bit? Does it crash with all project files or a specific project file? Does it crash immediately at start, after you pushed the "Select ... file" button or after you pushed the "Write new file" button? Do you have sufficient file permissions to read and write / create the files on the location you want (f.i. for writing the new project file in "Program Files" you need administrator rights)? Does it crash if you start MSVPVF with administrator rights (right click msvpvf.exe and "Run as administrator")? Does it crash if you temporarily switch off your virus scanner? Does it crash with filenames that only contain "normal" characters (so without special characters)? Does Windows "complain" about a file of a "unknown source" or something like that?
