Boris FX activation key
I have the same problem. I purchased the Vegas 20 post and my e-mail from Magix for downloading Vegas does not have the Boris activation code. I have always had all the add ons listed in the e-mail for activation. This time I do not have my Boris FX Primatte Studio 2021.5 activation code so I cannot download it to start.

Vegas 19 Post Install won't install Vegas 19
Walter, thanks and it is fincky for sure. I have run Vegas since version 2 for years and have done many installs even on other drives. I got it running on C: as you note. My Vegas Image and Effects got installed the first time around when Vegas 19 did not. Going to try and REINSTALL those two and see if they find the Vegas Post activation. I suspect they needed Vegas 19 post installed first before they were installed.

Vegas 19 Post Install won't install Vegas 19
Well, I have always installed Vegas in a different drive than my C:drive. I tried letting the recommended install location and it loaded up to my C:drive programs. So, not sure why but it is running. Now to make sure all the other installs actually are connected and recognized. Thanks

Huge Problems With Vegas Pro 18
Well, I uninstalled the Nahimic for games etc. and now VV18 window seems to be working fine now. thanks for the help and direction.

Huge Problems With Vegas Pro 18
This is my Realtek High Definition Audio driver ver 6.0.1.7535 works fine with V18 Mine is 6.0.1.7960 so still experimenting. Not sure how to remove it from the system and still have audio to my speakers.

Well, thank you and reading that thread shows a lot. Interesting though, I have run VV13 through VV17 on the same machine and this has never happened. So that would suggest something in VV18 is different. I will review my services. thanks

Multiple Previous Versions of Vegas Pro
uninstalling a previous version of Vegas I agree should not affect the other installed add ons. I will install Vegas 18 and run it as the bugs get worked out and check if it found other add ons and have them accessible. Trying to clean up my old machine. suspect next year I will be getting a new one. wife needs a new one first though. thanks

Multiple Previous Versions of Vegas Pro
Yes, all the items I am referring to are the ones that came with the packaged up items. That is what I was wondering, how specific some of these additional items that came with say earlier versions back to maybe vegas 14. I just updated my version 17 build. I will "play" with some older extras and see. As for the VV, throw back to old years about Vegas Video and shortened to VV. I have had Vegas since version 2 and have every version since then backed up. I originally ran FAST Video Machine for years in the 90s and then moved to Vegas as FAST went out of business. So, I assume Sound Forge 14 I have is the same as the one included in the Vegas 18 and no need to reinstall. thanks for the info.

thanks and yes, I have done the same as you on new machines. But I am still using my present machine so wanting to clean up the past so to speak and move to VV18 without losing past extras that we got. I assume I could just uninstall all my Vegas programs and subsequent extras, then install VV18 and reinstall any older extras along with the newest ones I am getting.

where is the upgrade from V13?
I have the full Vegas Suite 13 I bought a while back and downloaded to install on a NEW machine. I have not received any info on Version 14 which I was going to upgrade to. I am lost on this whole move to Magix etc and upgrades. NOTE: I have not installed my VERSION 13 as I am finishing the building of my new machine. It does not show up on my software account since I have not installed it. So I am not sure how this upgrade from Vers 13 to Ver 14 is supposed to work. I assume I will received then notice from Magix? I have used VV since Vers. 2.

Got the GTX570
Thanks for the info. Guess the question is if the 580 is better than the 570 and the 590 is even better, why not go with the 590. $$$ for one thing versus would it give me anything I truly need for video work compared to a lesser card. I assume any of these work well with an Intensity Pro. I would like to do my preview out on a good LCD instead of the little preview window on my editing screen. I will have to find my best price on them and see what is worth the $$$. Hope to hear from others and their thoughts on this. Thanks. Gary

Got the GTX570
I am looking to upgrade my video card from a GT8800 to the GTX 570 for VV11. I see a few here have used the GTX 570. This thread is a few months old. Anyone have comments since going to the this card and VV11? Much appreciated. Gary

Need a new camera
I appreciate all the comments, advice and help. I went ahead with the TM900. I think for me it will do well and later I can add other cameras to support it. Wanting to restart my old video production business and will start with this one. Been using VV since VV2.0 and now loading up latest VV11. I am an old FAST VM/Plus guy but time marches on and so does technology. Cameras just have to be updated. Thanks again.

Need a new camera
Well, I had not considered the DSLR option for video. I actually several Minolta lens, though for the older X-700. I will have to see which mounting system they have. I am assuming the video is similar format at the video cameras. I have so much film equipment, lens, flash you name it. Would love to be able to recycle it to another use.

thank you and yes, I see the TM and HS do have a view finder though it appears as noted it is fixed position meaning no flexibility in angle of holding it. That is ashame. I like a good EVF. I am still using my Canon XL1 but need to move to HD. Also, I am assuming you can record with the LCD panel closed and use only the EVF, correct? As for the hard drive, I worry about shock, though it has a card slot, I am thinking the TM a bit more robust. Just not sure why originally the HS was more expensive than the TM. Now the same or actually discounted the HS is cheaper. I may look at the others if in the same price range. Thanks.

Need a new camera
I have been considering the Panny HS900 or TM900 but have also wondered about the lack of a view finder. I know these are small cameras etc but I feel more steady using my view finder than the LCD holding it out and losing some stability. Comments? Also, TM vs the HS? Gary

any penalty installing vegas 11 on a vegas 10 syst
"<edit> This is not to say that you will have a problem, just that VP11 can affect VP10. In my case it's only OFX filters so it wouldn't affect VP9 or earlier since they don't use OFX. Rob" So from some of the comments above I am probably pretty safe installing the latest version of VV11, skipping VV10 and not affecting my VV9 much. I don't use any of the other add on programs. Just not looking forward to a lot of rework on installations and chasing problems if VV11 does not work well for me. thanks about the comment on the SN. Gary

This is interesting to me and was going to post a separate thread but it may be better here. I have always since VV3, installed the newer version as a separate program and used each as I progressed to the newer versions and then deleted the old. Only thing I usually have issues with is some of the common files but each is setup on the newer version. Now I am at VV9, I bought VV10 but never installed and have all the updates. Now I have VV11 setting here plus updates. So is there any reason or benefit to install VV10 before I do VV11 to get certain library or other functions that are expected by VV11? I would think not but wanted to ask. Also, I was going to skip using my disks I got when I upgraded and use the latest updated versions. I used to install that way and assume I can still do that and use my serial number from my disks. Is that correct? thanks Gary

Audio overload while tapping at Gun range
Many good points here. Separate mic, pointed away, etc, maybe covered to dampen further if needed. All of these will work well. Do you have access to a separate mixer with gates and compressors? I carry an old Mackie 1202B I think it was, Behringer gate and compressors/limiters. Run all the mikes to that, record separately and remix back to the video or better yet all channels to separate audio recorder and then remix. yes, more junk to carry but does make for good audio. Also if audio of gun shot is mixed to analogue tape you can take advantage of the soft roll of the tape saturation to roll off the sharpness of the crack. Gary

Silby, I appreciate the info. Please post your resolution. I have e-mailed Sony and they do not respond. I have not tried calling. I was hoping to see a response here as I know others have also had the same problem. Mine is aggrevated because I have to use Satelite internet where I am. I just wish they would offer a disk and I would pay the $10 just like they do the download versus packaged option. Geez, why make it so hard Sony? Thanks again and good luck for us all. Gary

Vegas 10 Seminar Series
I wish I was as lucky. I use a download manager and still setting at 95%. It tries to connect and the sony site will not allow. Being I am on satelite I am regulated by the FAP limits. Has anyone ever gotten a response back from Sony to get a copy sent by disk and I have even said I will pay for the disk. I have no way of downloading this file due to size and I am at my last attempt count on the Sony site. I have tried downloading from my office as well but it will not download. Any one have suggestions to get my copy from Sony since they will not reply back to my requests? Gary

Vegas 10 Seminar Series
I have tried to download it a couple of times and at my last attempt but on satelite internet I get stopped and does not finish my download to the zip. I have contacted Sony but they will not reply. (NICE SERVICE) I can not find a way to get the whole file that I am suppose to get. When I try to open mine, I don't even get the file listings. Any help would be appreciated here as well. Gary
