Thanks again! I'm on a shoot again today but I'll check that out this evening.I don't actually have Mocha Pro yet, but I'm going to subscribe for a month and see how I get on with it. I don't think I will ever be a power user, but it's nice to have it up my sleeve, and with the Boris sub I can rent it for a month on the few occasions I may need it.Cheers!

@Alexander-Gasman Hi. I'm experiencing the same thing with Vegas Pro 21 and two NVLinked 2070 Super GPUs. Did you manage to resolve the problem? Thanks.And by the way, I still keep inadvertantly referring to it as Sony Vegas.

I heard back from Magix and unfortunately (strangely?) there is no upgrade path from VP Edit to VP Suite. It seems the only way to do this is to buy a new copy of VP Suite and request a refund for VP Edit - which of course will go to my client and not to me! It's all a bit messy and I don't want the awkward situation of having to ask the client to refund me!As I only wanted to evaluate Mocha within Vegas it's cheaper (and less awkward) for me to subscribe to it directly through Boris for a month for approximately £23.I appreciate your time helping me with this @vkmast

NVidia driver 546.17 - no preview with GPU acceleration on
Thank you. I just quickly tried it (by disabling one, then the other), but it just had the effect of removing the GPU completeley from the options in the GPU Acceleration dropdown. It just occurred to me that I have the two GPUs linked via NVLink, so as to take advantage of 2 x 8GB video RAM when rendering heavy 3d scenes in C4D, and Vegas (since v21) sees them as a single card, which might explain that. In v20 and before they were seen as multiple cards (in the dropdown).I'm still unclear as to why I've successfully had two identical GPUs for a good number of years and not experienced this problem before.I'm setting off for a shoot now, but I will do the same test in v20 tonight.

I just tested it with the driver recommended in the sticky post (537.13, again a clean install) and I get the same results. Looks like the issue is unique to my system.

Curiously, only one of the 2070s is shown in the GPU acceleration option in preferences. In V20, both are shown (but neither works when selected).

@Ian_S Prores isn't hardware decodable and generated media doesn't need to be decoded. Your Nvidia gpu should be able to decode Avc 4k and 1080p if it's 420. I don't think Nvidia decodes anything 422. Thank you . . . but regardless of that, all of these media types have always displayed in the Video Preview window in the past with GPU acceleration on or off.

I've tested this with a variety of media, in a combined project as well as in individual projects with just one media type. So far, no joy with 4K or 1080p ProRes 422 (my usual format, from a Shogun Flame), 4K and 1080p AVC MP4, psd, png or generated solid colour media, test patterns or text.Since posting, I just tried it out in V20 and it's the same result.

Well I emailed them and got a reply within ten minutes with a ticket number (in the email subject) but the email was empty! I guess it was an automated response and I assume there is somewhere I can enter my ticket number to check progress, but i can't find it on the Magix website! Any advice welcomed!

Thanks for the advice. Yes, hopefully they will be able to sort something. The licence I have was supplied to me by my client (NewBlueFX) to create tutorials for them, although it is registered to me personally. I was hoping it was something I could easily do online. Thanks again.

Is there a way to adjust the size of the thumbnail
I actually spent five minutes going through every option in the Project Media (and Explorer) tab - I was convinced I'd seen a slider that changed the size of thumbnails. I must have been thinking of a different NLE!In this age of high DPI and ultrawide monitors, I would have thought this a very useful feature - that being said, this was the first time I needed it (to read the text on some title plate graphics). As I plough into my myopic sixties, no doubt that need will grow :-)

Is there a way to adjust the size of the thumbnail
For anyone reading this in 2023 or later, Ctrl + mouse scroll works in the Project Media view as well. No idea how many versions this has been the case, but in over two decades of using Vegas, this is the first time I have ever needed to expand the thumbnails! Disappointingly, the thumbnail size still does not persist as a global Vegas setting, nor as a per project setting.

Vegas Pro 19 crashing since upgrading to build 643
Please could someone tell me if build 643 is the latest for V19? I am on 643 at present, but I am getting a new build message whenever I open Vegas. Note, it says "there is an update for Vegas Pro 19.0", not "there is a new version of Vegas". My guess is that the message is misleading, and that it's referring to v20, however it doesn't give a build number, plus Vegas crashes every time it closes to update, so I can't even try it and see.Like the OP, I'm experiencing much more frequent crashes with build 643 but I can't see how to revert to to the previous build. In any case, if build 643 is really V20 without the new features (hmmm . . . .), will reverting prevent me from opening files saved in 643 in the earlier build? Thanks for any advice.

Vegas POST, Vegas Effects does not start.
Is this still an issue with Vegas Pro 18 or is there now some way to use other OFX plugins at the same time as Vegas Effects. Also, is the problem to do with trying to USE the two in the same project or is it that you can't have them both INSTALLED? Thanks.
