OT: Upgrading to Windows 10 directly, for free
Is it not possible to use the Media Creation Tool to create an ISO-file on a flash drive and install Windows 10 from scratch using the Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 installation key? This is what I intend to do. If this is possible, you don’t have to install Windows 10 twice. Jøran Toresen

Retro-8 film scanner
John Meyer, I have a similar problem. I’ve upscaled pal dv to 1080p and this resulted in black edges (lines) on top and bottom of each frame (so the height is lower than 1080). I tested your method (c.f. 1 and 2) using Mercalli and everything is ok. But how can I add black edges to the stabilized clips? (c.f. 3 Add the pillarboxes). Jøran Toresen

atom, if you asked me, I used the uninstaller i Control Panel and have not used any registry cleaner. I can locate the msi-file, but have not tried the right click repaire option. Jøran

jdw, I did this: The solution for a Windows Vista or Windows 7 64bit: - Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories - Right click “Command Promt” and click on “Run as administrator” - Write “cd %windir%\syswow64” and hit Enter - Write “regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll” and hit Enter - You should now get a message that says: “DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded.” - Click “OK” Restarted my computer. Tried to uninstall Vegas 12 Beta, but I got the same error message. Jøran

Cannot install Vegas Pro 12 or uninstall the BETA
I tried the method in the link posted by jdw, with no success. I will not delete anything in the registry. Revo uninstaller has a Forced uninstall option, but I will not try this because I do not know the consequences. The problem seems to be related to the file "C:\Windows\Installer\3a3a3.msi" from Sony Creative Software. I wish SCS could come up with a solution. Otherwise I have to reinstall Windows 7. Okay to install Pro 11 (VMS upgrade) on 2nd PC?
GoRovers: "So after installing Pro on my new PC I should stop using VMS on my old PC, since the newer product was an upgrade?. " You can install and use both VMS and Vegas Pro on your old PC and you new PC. No problem at all. It does not matter if it's an upgrade or not. But, you are not allowed to run / use Vegas Pro at the same time on two or more PCs. Or: Run Vegas Pro on you old PC. Quit editing. Run Vegas Pro on your new PC. Quit editing. Go back to you old PC and start editing. Jøran
