Titler Pro 4 Out - Vegas 14 Next?
If they do that I may give it another try. I only get the even numbered upgrades and when I bought 10 or 12 - I think it was 12, I tried Titler pro2 (which came with it for an extra $100) and it crashed constantly. I removed it from my system as I have deadlines to meet and do not have time for that nonsense. I thought it was a shame because I would love to have what it was advertised to do if it really works.

Build 770 here
This version seems to have fixed my problem opening the Boris Red & Boris Grafitti GUI over mxf files (created with the Canon XF utility from a Canon XF305 or a Canon XF300 camera). I just did a quick test & it worked. What a relief!

I just tried & Red interface crashes Vegas as well. These crashes only happen with .mxf files. I sometimes use .mov and .m2t files and have no problems with Boris on those files. Only Boris on an .mxf file crashes Vegas. Do you ever use .mxf files (in my case, from a Canon XF-305 camera)?

Boris Grafitti & Vegas
Version 6 I now have Red too, so maybe I just need to learn to use Red for graphics. I use Grafitti because I have several templates saved which are normally easy to change as necessary for new versions of projects. I like it because it's fast.

Vegas 12 Rendering Issues
Under Options/Preferences/;Video - be sure GPU rendering of video processing is set to "off" when rendering to a 720x480 mpg2 file (for dvd). This stopped the crashing for me, & it still renders pretty fast.

New 563 Build
So far, so good here, too. I just loaded about 36gb of mxf files & thumbnails work fine. No crashes & it seems to load considerably faster. From the looks of some other comments on this forum I am glad I use an AMD video card & not a Nvidea. I am starting a project Monday morning. I will let everyone here know how if worked out before the end of the week.

continuing crush in vegas pro12
Several people (including myself) are having problems with build 486, all related to the Media Bin. The latest STABLE version of Vegas Pro12 is Version 394. If you still have a copy of VegasPro12.394 Try deleting Vegas and re-loading 394. So far, that seems to make everyone's problems go away. Apparantly, Sony blew it with the 486 update.

Vegas Pro 12 "not responding"
I found the folder and deleted the files. Then I reloadewd the 486 update. It still doesn't work at all. If I load an mxf project it crashes before it finishes loading. If I load an HDV project it loads, I can scrub the timeline (or play it), but when I attempt to scroll down my files in the media bin Vegas crashes again (white screen). Build 486 is absolutely useless on my computer. By the way - build 394 works nearly flawlessly on my computer. Sony - what did you do and when will you fix it?

Vegas Pro 12 "not responding"
I don't have a AppData folder at all. I looked because although my computer is happy with build 394 of Vegas 12, when I load version 486 it crashes every time I attaempt to scroll thru my media in the media bin. I re-loaded 394 and everything works fine. I would put 486 back on, but I just can't seem to use it without Vegas 12 crashing. When I download the 486 file the file size is 231,029kb. Someone on the Linked in Vegas user forum thought it should be 236,573,696 bytes. Am I not getting the entire file? I have tried downloading it 3 times and got the same file size every time.

Build 486 crashes
Version 394 works fine for me. Only when I load version 486 (64 bit) am I dead in the water. What version are you trying to use?

What advantage is there to changing from my Win 7 ultimate 64 bit which works fine to this Win 8 you are talking about?

GPU, The Processor, CPU, The Driver and Vegas . .
I sure am glad I went with the AMD Radeon 6870. It works fine with Vegas Pro 12. Not perfect, but very usable.

V12 crashing while rendering
I sure have. My system crashes when rendering an HDV project (1440x1080) to an .mpeg2 or .avi file at 720x480 widescreen. I did an AVCHD project (1920x1080) and it rendered to 720x480 .mpeg2 with no problems. For me, it always happens when going from HDV to 720x480 widescreen (16x9). If I go into Options/Preferences/Video and then turn OFF GPU Acceleration of video processing, then I can do the render without crashing. Since 720x480 files render faster, I guess that will due until Sony fixes the problem. I can turn it on to render Blu-Ray files. I am using an ATI Radeon HD6870 GPU.

Vegas Pro 12 crashing
To correct my previous statement: It works with AVCHD files-1920x1080 going to 720x480ws. It only (and always) crashes when rendering 1440x1080 files to 720x480ws with GPU turned on.

Recommend: Sony HXR-NX5U vs Pan AG-HPX250P P2
I have never used Panasonic, but I just got wedding footage shot on an NX5u and Vegas seems to love the AVCHD files. They look great on my system & it is not sluggish at all.

Vegas Pro 12 crashing
I, too, am doing quite well with Vegas Pro 12. I use a dual monitor set up with full screen preview on one monitor. It works great with Vegas, and not too bad with Boris Red. Multi-cam edits also work fine. Rendering DV or HDV to a Blu-Ray file works flawless, but if I try to render to a 720x480 ws (16x9) file (.mpg2 or .avi) I must turn off the GPU first or I crash during the render. Those files render fairly fast anyhow. The tougher 1920x1080 & 1440 x 1080 files work with the GPU with no problems. Also, if I do a standard DV project (720x480 at 4:3 aspect in & out) I have no problems & a 90 minute project renders in about 32 minutes (that's fast). This is using an ATI Radeon 6870 with 1 gig of ddr5 RAM, on a Dell Studio XPS motherboard with an i7 processor & 16gig of ddr3 RAM. Only problems come when attempting a render from 1080 anything to DVD widescreen file or any 720x480 at a 16:9 aspect.

HDV to DVD ws renders crash
DiverG - I skipped 11 and am experiencing this problem on V12. This never happened on 10, and I only get it when rendering an HDV project to DVDws. I have AMD Cat version 12.10 The problem was the same with whatever version I had prior to updating to 12.10 as it is now. I installed the update last week. 2D Driver Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 Direct3D Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 OpenGL Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 If I follow the instructions you have posted, do I risk losing my display (it does not matter if the original driver setup is saved if I can't see a display to find & restore it).

Renders Suddenly Started to Hang
I have had the same problem since upgrading to Version 12 (both builds). I render everything to Blu-Ray (1140x1080 @29.7fps .m2v) without even as much as a hiccup. Often, my clients need a DVD as well. My system only hangs when I render to .mpg2 at 720x480 with 29.97fps/16:9 aspect. I have made scratch projects using elements of the original project, only to get the same results. I trien rendering it to an avi file at 720x480 with 16:9 aspect & it crashed doing that, as well. Also, I have done a couple DV projects (720x480 at 4:3 aspect) and render to .mpg2 at 4:3 aspect & I have never had a problem with those renders. For me, this only happens when a render an HDV project to a 720x480ws file.

I've notice more Render Fails for people. Idea?
I have the exact same problem. It only happens when rendering my HDV projects to DVDws file (.mpg2 720x480 at 16:9 aspect). I have had no lockups when rendering to a Blu-Ray file. My system was new in May and built specifically for Vegas. Never had this problem in V10. I don't think the dust here cares if I render to DVDws or Blu-Ray. I'm using an AMD Radeon HD6870 display GPU.

That sounded good, so I tried rendering to an .avi file 720x480 at 16:9. It still crashed, just like when I try rendering to the .mpg2. Hmmmm.

build 394 fail
Curious - which AMD card do you have (I have the Radeon HD6870)? Works fine with both builds of Vegas 12 EXCEPT when I attempt to render to a 720x480 ws File (60i). I can do these DVD renders with my display card turned off, but if I turn it on it will render for a few minutes & then get stuck or freezes. Do you have the same problem or different?

I can't render to DVD widescreen mpeg2 in V12.
Almost forgot. My crashes are only when going to DVD WS. I recently did 2 weddings which were recorded on 4x3 ascpect 720x480 DV cam. I rendered those to DVD with no problems. I did not try to use Nu-Blu Titler 2.0 on these projects. Since the titler always gives me problems, I only (occasionally) try using it after I have finished a project if I have a little time. For projects I must get finished, I use Sony Legacy & Sony Pro titlers. No problems with those.
