AddMercalli Automation – Vp17 Auto-Stabilization
This seems to be an advantage but on the other hand clips often have a larger shake at the end and this should be trimmed before stabilization to reduce the amount of zooming. I would not go this way. @Peter_P To resolve this, I create a subclip of the trimmed event and apply stabilization as a Media FX in this subclip. The advantage of this is that it is not necessary to analyze the entire clip, but only the part that will be used and, as a bonus, it is still possible to edit the stabilized event without losing the analysis data, since the stabilization is in Media FX and not Event Fx. AddMercalli Automation – Vp17 Auto-Stabilization
Hi @Peter_P If possible, in future updates add an option to "Apply Stabilization as Media FX". I know Mercalli doesn't work as Media FX, but native VEGAS Video Stabilization does. When the option is unchecked, it will continue to apply stabilization as Event FX. This option is very useful as it allows you to apply changes to the event after it has stabilized without losing analysis data. Think about it. Thanks!

Only the official developers have never been interested in creating this feature and I honestly don't have hopes that one day they will create this option natively in VEGAS.

The only solution that worked for me was VST Perfect Decliper. http://www.perfectdeclipper.com/ Its price is too high, but I liked the result so much that I decided to buy it. Even worse is the fact that the Protype Titler is a resource that has already been Deprecated. But some customers with old projects are wanting to update the resolution of the videos and in many of these videos the Protype Titler was also used.

Prodad Artificial Intelligence stabilization plugin
@Dexcon and @3POINT I only work with the procedure above when I need to make some changes to an event that has already been stabilized so that I don't lose the analysis data. When I need to do this in many events, instead of using this procedure, I use nesting in the stabilized events and then in the master project I use the options of the Vegasaur Split Events tool.

Prodad Artificial Intelligence stabilization plugin
Scrapyard Films video is excellent for demonstrating that different stabilisers are better at stabilising some tasks than others. This is indeed my experience. My preference (by habit over about a decade) is to use Mercalli SAL for most stabilising tasks. The rendered stabilised video event is then imported on to Vegas Pro's timeline and the length of that event can be shorted without any need to redo stabilisation. With a stabilisation plugin (including Vegas Pro's inbuilt stabiliser), any change to the length of the stabilised event will mean that the event has to be stabilised again. If you've got a long project using a stabilisation plugin, it would a good idea to make stabilisation the very last process to be done on the timeline otherwise you'll be redoing stabilisation after any minor change to any stabilised video event. @Dexcon The built-in VEGAS Video Stabilization can be used in two ways, the first is as Event FX and the second is as Media FX. If you use it as Media FX, you can edit the event normally without losing the analysis data and without having to redo the stabilization. I have to admit that VEGAS native stabilization is really one of the best. The ProDad Mercalli plugin can only be used in VEGAS as Video FX and if you do some types of editing, the analysis will be lost and you will have to redo the stabilization. But I recently found that if you save Mercalli Event FX as a filter pack and then apply it as Media FX, you can edit normally without losing analysis data and without needing to re-stabilize. MXF file Problems on Vegas Time line
In VEGAS I get the same problem as the OP. But the file opens normally in Adobe Premiere and Davince Resolve. The solution pointed out by @john_dennis is the best alternative for VEGAS.

Auto Ripple and Trim Events to Include all Frames (Suggestion)
@xberk... In VEGAS Pro 19 this option works correctly only in the build 550. In other builds, there is a bug when using velocity envelopes. This bug was only fixed in vegas pro 20 build 326.

Auto Ripple and Trim Events to Include all Frames (Suggestion)
@xberk The Trim Events to Include All Frames option is for automatically adjusting the length of events according to the frame rate. It is mainly used to automatically adjust the length of events when using Slow Motion and Fast motion effects where the frame rate is changed to modify the speed of events. See my screen recording below. Note that at first, when applying the velocity envelope, I didn't use the Trim Events to Include All Frames option and had to manually adjust the event length. Later, when I activated the option Trim Events to Include all Frames, the length of the event was adjusted automatically.

And I extensively use the timeline / envelope editing from Vegas for my VST2 / VST3 audio plug-in fx; not sure if "patchwork" can handle those, like Vegas does. Here Thanks to PatchWork I can work normally with VST3 plugins in any version of VEGAS. Ideally, you download a trial version and run your own test. See my screen recording below. BlueCats Patch Work being used in VEGAS Pro 14 and 19 which are not compatible with VST3 plugins. I tested it with the DearVR Micro plugin which is exclusively VST3. Bellow is a good free option, while the problems with VST3 plugins in VEGAS are unresolved. An expensive solution to get VST3 plugins to work correctly in VEGAS is Blue Cat's PatchWork. https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_PatchWork/ Unfortunately VEGAS users are paying for something that doesn't work as it should and they always have to resort to third party work in order to complete their work. Sad but real.

I agree with you. Claiming that current VEGAS is fully compatible and works correctly with VST3 plugins is a bad joke. The strange thing about all this is that Sound Forge works well with VST3 plugins and in theory they are products from the same company.

subclips plays slower than original video files
Vegas always creates subclips based on the original files and not the proxy files. This question you raised is very interesting and I think it deserves to be evaluated more carefully. @VEGASDerek The Swap Video files function also has problems with subclips. If there are subclips in the project it is impossible to swap the files. As an alternative solution for your case, you can create a copy of the event and then create a Take using the multicam feature. This Take will have the same function as the subclip. Does not work track settings
This is a bug that occurs in the Adjustment Track feature when the GPU is disabled. To work you need to enable some GPU. @VEGASDerek This bug occurs since this feature was released in version 19 and until today it has not been fixed.
