How the Convergence-thing goes on : PIXELMATOR.
Probably because I've only used windows tablets but I find them far from liberating and borderline frustrating to use. Give me a large monitor (preferably two) and keyboard any day.

So if I shot 1920 by 1080, 29.970 frame rate what should my render settings be for YouTube to minimise YouTube's recoding time. Thanks

"In my opinion, the changes Magix made to Vegas were totally unnecessary for technical and historical reasons, and only served to address some sticky corporate trademark and copyright gastritis because the programming interface has the word "Sony" embedded into it in so many places." The lack of compatibility with scripting is disappointing and worrying. I'm beginning to regret purchasing the upgrade offer. Presumably future versions of Sound Forge will have the same problem. Doubt I'll upgrade it if I need to rewrite all my personal scripts. It seems to me with this scripting decision Magix have demonstrated either a lack of vision or failure to understand what Vegas paradigm is completely about. Does not bode well for the future.

So what's the thinking about this? Force developers to come out with new branded versions? Release their own? Extensions and scripting is a major part of the attraction of Vegas. How can Magix expect people to take version 14 seriously with this gaping hole?

Completely agree. I hope Magix will start working on a linux version of Vegas. Can't see myself moving my main machine to Windows 10 unless the data theft is curtailed.

Using Sony Vegas Pro 13.0 on 4K UHD monitors?
I appreciate that scaling in Windows is woeful but it's a poor job that Vegas doesn't offer different sizes of icons. I'Ve been stuck with editing on a laptop the last view days and not only are the buttons small but the contrast is so bad I often can't tell if some settings are active or not. A real headache with the ripple button.

Well, to be fair, the notifications button gives quick access to some functions especially networking and flight mode. But I agree the whole thing is a hodgepodge.

Of course you could give Magix the benefit of the doubt and wait and see what they come up with. I'm guessing it will be possible to test any new release before purchase. Why the negativity?

Best Render Settings 1920 1080p
How about if you want to upload a video to YouTube? Every time I do it gets stuck processing the video. How to avoid seeing the message: "This is taking longer than expected. Your video has been queued and will be processed as soon as possible." Thanks.

Not my experience with Windows 10. I'll keep using Windows 7 on my main machine. I find Windows 10 a mess compared with Windows 7.

No, I used the video preview on external monitor button. It says press esc to close but that doesn't work.

The only one that makes sense is 4. Does this mean we can expect a Magix version of Acid? Products that aren't going to be renewed should get open keys otherwise it becomes a five year death sentence.

Why the heck is the forum acting screwy
I switched to Pale Moon when Mozilla began their numbers game with Firefox. Pale Moon comes in 32 and 64 bit varieties and, I think, is more secure. No problems with the forum using version 24.2.2 64 bit.

Java and Javascript are totally different. I won't let Java onto my system as I consider it a security risk. I'm careful about allowing Javascript (I use NoScript) . Most forums require javascript to work 100%.

Very glad to hear you are keeping Vegas going and are not forcing subscription or constant online verification. Really looking forward to seeing what you do with Vegas. And if you can produce a 64 bit version of Acid that would be beyond brilliant!

Call it hyperbole if you like. Whine about it as you will. Ignore the logic. I won't be upgrading if Vegas requires repeating validation. Magix can follow this thread. From what I've read I'm not the only one who as objections to such a scheme.

" I think the validation is a tactic to nip bogus copies in the bud." Not logical, if the validation passes once why won't it pass a second or third time? It's more like constant validation gives the software company the chance to stiff the user by refusing the validation for whatever reason. I do get that software companies want to avoid piracy but can't see how constant validation does this. Better to cultivate community so that users will want to support the company. Or make the initial check stronger but don't keep making it a hurdle to jump through. Treating users like criminals is a sure-fire way to get them to behave as such. Disdain breeds disdain.
