About me Forum Tutorials Comments Guestbook Video on 1/23/2000 Transferring 24 tracks of DA88 thru MOTU 2408 to Vegas Keith, I have been having similar problems while trying to transfer Adat tracks to Vegas. (record for only a few seconds and stops by itself) I have to use Alesis's AdatConnect much in the same way as you are using VST24 to get Adat tracks into Vegas. Vegas has a great interface and wonderful features. But "dang gummit" can't somebody comes up with some better solutions. Sonic Foundry has been NO help to me regarding this matter. Why, even one of the Tech Suport persons told me that Vegas was not designed to be used for tranfering multi tracks. I politely said "Goodbye" Kinda makes "ya" wonder. I mean what's the deal? Is this an issue of Soundcards, CPU, MotherBoards, Sound Drivers, Chipsets? What? Vegas has the best interface and features of any progran I have seen. Let's hope somebody comes up with some better solutions. Keith wrote: >>Okay, if I can do this, I will never need to open Cubase >>VST24 ever again! I love Vegas. I crash mostly when doing concurrent activities ie; saving while playing, adjusting channel plug-ins during play, adjusting just about anything except volume changes and cursor position will cause my system to crash. I have learned to work with it and if I am careful I will crash only a few times in a 5 to 6 hour session. On some occasion it will crash for no apparent reason. I have spoke to tech support about this and they have convinced me that the program is going thru normal growing pains. It could be a driver issue I do not know. Many people seem NOT to have this problem. My system config is as follows: Celeron 400, 128 meg ram, two IDE Drives (one of them 7200 RPM) dual 8mb video cards, LX chipset, Windows 98 Adat PCR sound card. My system is freshly formatted with only Acid Pro 2.0, Sound Forge 4.5 , and the latest version of Vegas Pro installed. If you find anything I'd like to hear about it.
