Dragging video onto timeline....
Yep, drag and drop, copy and paste, its all good. I find it far easier than rooting through the Explorer window inside Vegas. Been doing it this way for quite awhile.

Newsletter & Gary Rebholz - where have they gone ?
I miss Gary's teachings and those newsletters also. There is a lot to learn about Vegas and it certainly helped to have the training series. Hopefully, someone at Sony will come to their senses and bring back what I, for one, see as an asset.

How would you separate the timeline view and full view on the big screen in Windows? All I seem to be able to do is have one or the other on both...

Mercalli 4 ! Soon...
I downloaded the trial and didn't install the codecs. It won't import AVCHD. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled with the codecs. I can now play.and see what the fuss is about. My question is if it is trialing all of it's features.

Thanks Chienworks, I'll put that to use. Nick, I have noticed that images that were pan cropped reverted back to original as well as some 3rd party FX.

Solutions on real time 4K editing and playback ??
I've been wanting to get into 4K with a GH4 purchase. My only concern is my computer's ability to make it worthwhile. The camera is expensive enough as would be a system to edit efficiently. I knock on wood that my 6 year old HP does a fairly good job albeit a bit sluggish with FX from Boris along with New Blue titler and the normal Sony stuff.

Slightly OT: Good article about copyright
And now "Stairway to Heaven" is in a copyright battle between Led Zepplin, the band who made it popular and the band Spirit, the band who claims it as their's. Maybe it is a God thing....Spirit in heaven....;)
