I just ran across this same issue today when adding any fx to a clip. Since the OP didn't post a screen shot, I will here. This started in the middle of a project when I was adding some green screen photos. The first few photos were fine the every photo added after that had the rectangle. I restarted Vegas PRO 14, rebooted the computer, moved the preview from one screen to the other, Opened a new project. Nothing helps. Here's a shot of a new project

YouTube Ads Monetize rules change....
For the creators already in the YTPP with less than 10K lifetime views have nothing to worry about. I'm glad they finally did something positive so new creators can concentrate on their content instead of worrying about loosing a few pennies on a video. But now the seasoned creators are complaining on the Creator Community Forum since YT tweaked the algorithm for suggested videos in early May. Now, a few weeks ago, YT released a "Fresh New Look" to selected creators to get feedback on their new design. They forgot to add many features for the creators. Most of the changes were directed toward the viewers and left out numerous features the creators came to enjoy. Disable Youtube Post Video Recommendations
Put at least 12 videos created by your clients in a playlist and use the embedded code for the playlist instead of the code for the video. With the desired video as the top video, the code will show the first video and the rest of the playlist will show up as the recommended videos at the end. It doesn't eliminate the matrix of videos, but only the videos your client has in the playlist will show up at the end of the video.

Disable Youtube Post Video Recommendations
You can try flooding all your clients videos with a like tag or two related somehow to the client but so unique that no other video would have one like it. The suggested videos are based on the titles, description, and tags. It would be worth a try. I always put my name in my tags and find my videos show up more often in the related videos. Good luck

There are a lot of bogus content ID claims on YouTube. The system is getting better now that they made some changes a few months ago. I was hit for content ID recently on music I created with acid music loops over 10 years ago. Other artists use the loops and have their CD's distributed and the Content ID is in YouTube's system. I went through the appeals process and some were released within 24 hours and some I had to wait the 30 days. If the content ID owner doesn't answer your appeal within 30 days, YouTube releases the claim and your work is monetized once again with all earning recovered during the waiting period.

Vegas Pro 14 External Monitor In Windows 7 64bit
I had to do it in several steps to get the results. Here is what I wrote back to NB Support: Another one of the Microsoft gotcha's! I don't use IE so the fix did not work with the Chrome browser even though I was able to download the file. After searching through numerous help files concerning "Windows Update" I finally found a solution for the file to load on my computer. I had to also load the following files from Microsoft Catalog Updates using Internet Explorer: KB3172605 KB3020369 After these two files were installed, I was able to use the link you provided through IE, it loaded, and everything worked after that! Go to the following link, you have to use Internet Explorer or the download will not work. Type in or paste the above numbers in the space provided and you can upload them one at a time. I think the first one I already had so when you go through the installation it will tell you if it's already installed https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx Link NB Gave me. Might not need the following unless your have a problem with NB Complete. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 Good luck, I hope this solves your issue. Tom

Vegas Pro 14 External Monitor In Windows 7 64bit
I didn't have the problem with the external monitor but I had an issue with NB installing and it was resolved by installing two updates from windows 7. Prior to these updates I was not able to install any updates for windows 7 since they released the paid win10. I assume you have to go through win update to get these files since I wasn't able to upload them here. I had to disable automatic updates before being able to get these files. Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3172605) Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3020369)

Noise reduction options
Free recording software Audacity has a noise reduction plug-in. I agree with ByronK. Audacity is excellent for eliminating background noise. Just highlight a sample area of noise and apply it to the rest of the clip. Even I can do that!

If it's just one friend this is happening to, they may have the restriction set on their computer for age or other content. I share links to unlisted content and never had a problem with it.

NewBlue Titler products on VP14
- so far, no respose. maybe someone at Magix can help this along? It looks like that forum has very little activity from NBFX. In one of my support emails from Edward earlier this week when I was having problems with the newest update, there was a reference to upgrade to TP 5. The current version of Titler Pro is Titler Pro 5. If you upgrade to Titler Pro 5, you will have access to all the templates and be able to use the Title Designer which would let you change fonts and anything else related to the titles. For those looking for a help file for the edit screen. Remember When...
I first came to this forum over 11 years ago looking for help with Vegas Movie Studio 4 and was welcomed with open armes and given all the help I needed. After a few more versions of movie studio I eventualy went to pro with Version 7 and have only missed one upgrade version (12), now I'm on VP14. I may not have always participated in the conversations but I was always checking in and reading the comments and searching for help when I needed it. I learned a lot here in the past. I'm not a professional, I edit because I love what I do and the consumer versions are not enough for me. I seek out the best in whatever I do. Yes, I remember when; you could get answers to your questions, Grazie first talked about Skype, farss helped me with my problems, Spot had his parachuting accident. It used to be like family here. Today, it's not. If I was a newcomer now, I would seek out my answers and never look back.

NewBlueFX Titler Pro Express - can't get it to work
I was talking about the link for the help file that support gave me when I was complaining about the older version 161027. I already have build 161119 which has some improvement over the older versions that I had but still have some of the same issues. I had to install it 5 times before build 161119 worked correctly. see attachment.

The option is within NewBlue Complete but wasn't working. Also, when you click on Help it goes to a non existing page. The link support gave me was for Express, which isn't included in VP14, just VP 14 Suite.

I also was having a problem with all the versions they sent me from the very begining. I finally got one that works over the weekend 161119 and was dissapointed with the features. You have the option to save a template but after closing your project it is no where to be found. I submitted a ticket with this and many other problems from an earlier version, but this issue was not answered. The video promoting this for VP 14 shows numerous titles @ 1:00 and beyond that are not available in the express version and the menu items in the video are not available in the version supplied.

.veg file used as a template Vegas Pro 14
I believe I was able to do this several years ago with track motion but it's not working now. Am I missing something here? Using Vegas Pro 14 I have a veg file that was created back in 2005 where I can remove all media and the track motion stays intact. In other words, a Template. I'll just work with that one file and duplicate it to get the results I need. What I was looking for is how to do the same thing in the current version of Vegas Pro. I've tried with no success all the way back to VP 9. I've created presets for the positioning of the PIP's but what I'm looking to do is open a veg file with all the tracks in tact and the track motion in place with no media.

I'll give that a try with the trimmer. I already tried the empty event, and basicly thats the same as the trimmer method. Replacing one event with another. That works, but that is more steps than I was look for. Thanks for your response

Have you tried ADDING AS TAKE ? No. How would I go about doing that? As soon as I remove a clip from the track the track motion is gone. What I would like to do is have the three PIP tracks empty whenever I open the veg and drop media into the tracks.

Go Vegas, go pro! Pros, stay! The others....
I think Vegas Pro should continue to move forward for the professionals using it. Improve stability, pro format support, GPU-rendering, and so forth. Then charge for it. For those of us who use Vegas Pro daily doing film commercially, earning money, with paying customers, 50$ more or less is nothing. The 249 or 349 for the suite is much less than what Adobe subscribers pay every year. Now it has been more than two years since Vegas 13 came so we have saved quite a bit of money. What we professionals need is the best tools available to get the work done, quickly and professionally. The extra 50$ or so disappears into oblivion just minutes after payment, or when the next customer pays the invoice and is happy with the professional video we did using Vegas Pro. Not all of us are professionals. I do it because I like it, but I demand the professional versions because what I do I do it well and the features I want are not in the Studio versions. $50 may be chump change to some, but for me it's a lot. When I worked I didn't think twice about shelling out $600 for software but I'm retired now and I edit because it's what I enjoy doing. $50 may be the determining factor for some on wheather to upgrade or wait for a better price later.

A few clarifications
Gary - is there an upgrade path from Pro to Suite?Anyone that took advatnage of the mid-summer "Buy 13, get 14" deal, has no upgrade path now to Suite other than doing the full upgrade from their v13 serial number, despite already owning a v14 Pro serial number.Would be nice if we could just chip in the $200 difference, and call it a day ... I have the same problem. I would like to go to 14 suite from 14 pro but when I put in my 14 pro S/N it states it's invalid.

Got My activation email for VP14!
I received mine also but the NewBlueFX Titler Pro Express/Looks installed properly but the update froze on me only after about 1 min. I let it sit for 1.5 hrs and still nothing. I have a workorder in place and tried to install again and the same thing, but this time it went a little further through the instalition process before freezing. I contacted NewBlue again and waiting on a response.
