After talking to their support, I found out that two of my computers did not have a recent enough video card/driver that they supported. Suggest that you contact their support to verify that your video card/driver is on their approved list. I wasted $$$ on the upgrade!!! Video on 6/28/2016 Is Network Attached Storage (NAS) my only solution Thanks, Dach! Unfortunately, Google is limited to 15 GB. Don't want to pay exorbitant storage fees. With 3 young mothers and 3 grand mothers all armed with HD video cameras for every birthday, graduation, holiday & get together, I wonder if the 2 x 4 TB will be enough. Of course we could closely monitor that everyone would download the videos quickly so the limits aren't exceeded, but I'd rather have the central repository be more lasting. Love the 2 bay security! I am 70 and live in the Philippines. My youngest son, 33, who owns a great internet company will probably end up being the headmaster of the system with me doing the video editing with Vegas. With all of the grand kids under 7 yrs old, it's possible that the whole system could outlive me. Video on 8/8/2015 Super 8 to digital Please take a look at: http://mymovietransfer.com/ I had over six hours of movies from the 50s, 60s & 70s done by them in 2008. They use equipment costing millions. Older film becomes brittle and breaks easily, so do NOT use some cheap service using mechanical projectors. Yes, it was a little expensive, but the movies were priceless. Here's a piece of their home page: "These scanners will not damage your film like a projector can. Projectors can burn or scratch your film over time. Our machines do not use a hot bulb, nor do they stop and start your film on each frame. Our scanners don't even claw at your film's sprocket holes. Instead, they run your film with smooth, continuous motion while the scanner transfers each picture pixel by pixel." "While we prep your film, we also repair any deteriorating or incorrect splices, and we clean your film using our Kodak particle transfer rollers - all at no additional cost to you. The rollers lift dirt and dust off of your film without the possibility of scratching or damaging your films in the process." Video on 6/26/2014 Help a Beginner I was ale to render to a 10GB .avi file, but that was the only option. Thanks, OldSmoke for the help with the archive suggestion, but couldn't get it to work. Maybe something to do with Plural Eyes. However, had the idea to use the final .avi 10GB rendering (which I like very much) as an input file on another computer. It seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately, same problem, only options for project OR rendering are .avi. The different computer is a 2010 Sony laptop and the first computer is a 2008 Sony RT-150 upgraded from Vista to Win 7. Both have had video driver updates in the last year. UPDATE: Actually, the laptop will now only render the .avi file to .mxf instead of .avi Video on 6/26/2014 Help a Beginner Thanks! Yes, there was a driver change this year. I do have another computer with Vegas 13. Is there a way to copy the .veg file and other files over to another computer. I had 6 tracks on the timeline. Video on 6/13/2014 Interactive Tutorials Here's the SCS response for the problem just in case anyone else wants to look at the basic tutorials. They say it will be fixed in next build release. Hi Tim, Thank you for contacting Sony Creative Software.
