Vegas Pro 20,0 (build 403) crashes/closes after I click "Render as"
Ok I have this happening over here also. This is what works for me I don't know if it will work for you. But give it a go First , see the your preview is set to "good half" , not best !!! Save your edit unter another name you haven't used before Close Vegas Open Vegas again hold "control shift" reset the program Open the new file you saved Try to run the render now When I do this the render works again.

@Ilya-Belyanin To view the version number (build) and serial number for your software, go to "Help" > "About [Program Name]".

A strange discovery Vegas 20 crash when I click render
@RogerS Thank you for reminding me Voukoder , I always forget it ;-) @Grazie Yeah, there is something strange going on . At least now I know how to slove it over here , a few weeks ago I did a format C do solve this problem. But still on several edit deadlines , ... no time to figure out why and how at this time . Maybe in a few months more time

VEGAS PRO 18 - When i click RENDER Vegas crashes instantly
@Frederik-vomEnde I had the same problem a week ago with Vegas 20 Windows 11 Because I had a deadline , so I did a format of my desktop and quickly installed everything again Now everything seems to work back ok , but there is something strange going on between Windows and Vegas when you click render.

I just tried to render a fragment , where mocha , coloring and keyframing is used and it rendered perfectly ?? It is just a pain in the ... to install all the third parties again ;-) But hey, I can render my Testimonials for the end of the week

No I render different types of footage , mp4 , mov , etc I just tried to render a single jpeg to check if it also crashed, and it did the render settings were standard 1920 X 1080 25 fps I did the format C because I am in the middle of a lot of recordings and edits , busy month I don't have the time to figure out what the reason was

Vegas Pro 20 Crashes when I click render
Thank you all for the responses, @bitman I'll keep it in English so everyone can follow ;-) But actually it is / was very simple.I have Vegas 20 , Windown 11 on a new MSI system with a AMD graphics card. Everything worked until a week ago. The only thing that has changed here is that I bought a 2nd screen that it is set as 2nd screen, so it can't be that. Elimination of deleting tracks and effects didn't work, Vegas kept crashing every time I clicked render. I have deleted all render files etc. And even created a new project with 1 jpeg in it and even then the system crashed ;-(Yesterday I formatted the whole system again and reinstalled W11 , then installed Vegas and now it seems to work again , I still have to install the third parties like Boris FX etc. But I don't think that can be the reason. cause the program already crashed on a jpeg. Maybe it's a Windows thing, I don't know. If it happens again I will let you guy's know immediately.

99,9 % of the people here on this forum enjoy working with Vegas and want to help together make it a better program. That means reporting bugs and possibly helping to fix them in a possitive vibe So it doesn't mean ...tearing things down to the ground. As mentioned above by others If you like another program better than Vegas the answer is simple, then you have to work with that one. If your opinion is that there is no program that meets your needs and you want to change Vegas to your needs Then I suggest that you devellop an editing program on the market yourself, And maybe your editor will become a competitor of Vegas and maybe we will eventually have to admit that your vissoin was correct and you got it right

And we keep busy, yesterday I filmed 2 new testimonials and the b-roll.But the company also told me that last previous recordings and edit was approved and released ;-)With 2 more ballet shows , some drone shots and some other stuff on the film agenda this month it remains an interesting month

Ok , got a tip from Reyfox to use Revo uninstaller to clean up everything from Vegas That did the trick, I could install Vegas without any problem

Vegas 20 NEW Build 370
Ok damn , this is crap , I tried to uninstall and I got an error So I downloaded the installer and tried to reinstall / overwite , I also got an error Deleted all Vegas files , tried to install it started to install but it stops again asking the mgxh5o4 blabla again Sigh , any ideas someone ????

I found the file in this folder , but when I try to install it says it is not valid I am gonna do a complete uninstall and reinstall again. I need Vegas this evening to edit , on a deadline today

Install can't find the path , not the install in Vegas , not if I use the download link. I tried to find the file , but the is no mgxh5o4 .... folder in the app data local temp Windows 11 over here

Bought a new pc a month ago , clean new install of W11 and installed Vegas 20 , everything runs very smooth ;-)

Camera for 4K
My main camera is the Panasonic HC-X1 My B-roll camera is the Panasonic FZ2000 (FZ2500) combined with a feiyutech AK2000 gimbal I also use a mini 3 pro drone

Of course we don't know what the agreements are between Hitfilm/Artlist and Vegas, but Artlist is turning Hitfilm into a tiktok/instagram editor rather than a compositing editor I was very happy with Hitfilm and have already made nice things with it (compositing, no editing because as an editor I didn't like it) I am also thinking about making the switch to Post but then Vegas effects have to keep up otherwise I might have to make the switch to after effects against my will

@j-v @Reyfox I know it is in the fx tab , But I normally go by the fx button on the clip and I don't think that top field of the fx pop-up tab offers any added value because everything is already below, so I think it would be better to make it a search field
