Rendering stops - not enough RAM?
32GB RAM should be enough - the minimum specs for the minimum RAM requirements for Vegas Pro has been 16GB, as far as I remember. But have you seen in the task manager that you have run out of ram really? Here you can see the ram utilization as function of time (and see what happens really, if Vegas runs into this issue you report here). However, the other aspects are that Vegas Pro 19 is outdated. Not sure if you can do here much. Maybe th best idea would be to test the project in the actual Vegas Pro 21. up to you.

Plus he's never come back to answer any questions. For example "the latest Sony version" is version 13 but he's never come back to say if that's correct or he's mislabeling version 21 (or he's using a hacked 21 that's labeled Sony)... In the first place, this is a user forum. Means, that a user - who has a problem - must take care and ownership about his problem. This is no paid support hotline. So, if he never come back, it is unlikely that he will find help from other users.

Sure the clip is 100 fps. But with the suggested settings, I achieve both a smooth playback and see no continuing playback after stoping the playback. Tested on my laptop. Maybe that helps to edit the footage within Vegas Pro 21 b187, even if it is not a perfect solution but more a workaround.

I would try to set the project properties to 25 fps, and preview it with the preview quality preview/half. Then you should be able to edit it in Vegas at least (depending on what you wish to do).

Rendering with NVENC support has always the danger, that there are some artefacts in the rendered product. More, it seems to fail an significant share of the rendering trials in Vegas. Both can also happen, if you have the GPU acceleration enabled in the preferences, since most of the transitions use the GPU. To use older nvidia driver seems to help against the artefacts, at least Some users use Voukoder for that reason. If you have purchased a new video editing machine, it would have been good to purchase an Intel processor with an i-GPU.

Render panel suggestions
I use Vegas19, don't know if 20 is better, 'cos i wait for 21 :) So my tips: - the current rendering fps text update is so quick, that it's impossible to read. Average fps is fine, but if i like to check the current fps, my eyes going crazy. This should be updated less frequently, say in every 0.5-1 seconds, so users can read it. Fully agree - estimated time needed for rendering is only accurate after 4%. It is so since many-many years. What's the explanation for this? If i multiple the number by 4 while rendering just hit 1%, i got the same time, as when i wait until 4%. no idea why they did it in this way - often i need to pause a long render, but there is no such button. Would be nice.. fully agree - in many encoding programs if i stop rendering, the partial file will be correct, readable, playable. But not in Vegas, which delete the whole rendered movie. Why? that would be helpfull. Especially, if the render process crashes. - as we all know, storage space is never enough. why Vegas need 3x much space for the rendering, than the finished file itself?That wasn't the case in earlier time, for example with Vegas 11. Seems like video and audio are rendered separately and they will muxed at the end? If this is the case this slows down everything, because read and write at the same time on a same drive can be slow, especially on hdd (poor hdd head). By me a 10GB rendered video needs at least 30GB free space and extra 10 minute at the end because of muxing. Should be done differently. agree - if i don't have that 30GB free space, say only 20GB, then it would be nice to see a warning message, that this is not enough. Both estimated size and free space are known and displayed. Now rendering start, and when finished, muxing process fail, mp4 will be corrupt, unplayable. All this after few hours of waiting in some cases.. very biring, indeed And two small suggestions:- the blue render progress bar line should be more thick, so we can see it from further too, not only from sitting in front of the monitor. Often i like to check it from 2-3m, and it's hard to see that thin line. - when i select render template, folder and enter filename, would be nice to start rendering with the press of ENTER. Now filename will be highlighted (why?), and render won't start, no matter how many times i press enter. I have to press TAB or CLICK on the render button. Not a big deal, but in Vegas 11 it worked so much easier and quicker. What you think?

NVidia driver fix for preview problems in VEGAS Pro
Due to both errors in fx transitions (which use the nvidia GPU in Vegas if GPU acceleration is set to nvidia cards it preferences/view) but also render crashes when rendering to AVC I rolled back to nvidia driver 522.30 again. Using this driver delivers at least transitions in the tendered footage that are free of errors. And the render crashes - the render process stops suddenly, and nothing happens any more - made it hard to render a 34 minutes slideshow project, with a huge amount of transitions anyway. The situation with Voukoder is not better really, since the errors seems to take place in Vegas, or the interface Vegas/nvidia GPU.

HiWhat about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop?I plan to buy one, did you solved the problem?Is it a good graphic card for editing with Vegas? The driver works also for my laptop with an RTX 3070 Ti. Please check in the public driver description for which product it works (I assume, you will find the 4070 also, but I have not checked that).

I tested it and, it not work proprely on my computer, whatever i do it not use NVENC when rendering. i do same profile for rendering on 20 & 21, if i check when rendering on NVENC on Vegas 21 i get 100% CPU usage, 0% GPU and low fps rendering and on Vegas 20 Build 411 i get between 30-50 CPU usage and between 20-30% of GPU usage with good FPS rendering speed. I think it have a problem with Vegas 21 :/ What type of footage do you render, what render settings and which encoder is used? Suggest you open a separate threat for this (with the AVC encoder and NVEC I see here a good balance between the the CPU and the nvidia GPU).

Vegas Pro - System requierments
Beim Rendern wird durchaus die Last auf alle vorhandenen Kerne verteilt. Selbst wenn die CPU Auslastung gesamt bei nur ca. 40% liegt. NUR damit man überhaupt bei den 40% landet, braucht es eine entsprechend starke GPU. Sonst rendert er nur über die CPU, da landest dann bei 100% mit entsprechender Wärmeentwicklung der CPU. UND langsamer bist auch, weil die GPU bei den diversen Effektberechnungen massiv mithilft. Ein ausgewogenes System macht also inzwischen auch für Vegas massiv Sinn. Und die GPU hilft auch bei der Vorschau beim Schnitt massiv mit. Was zusätzlich (und besonders für HEVC) Sinn macht, ist einen aktuellen Intel Prozessor mit einer modernen i-GPU im Prozessor (zusätzlich zur GPU) zu wählen. Denn gerade HEVC wird weder von AMD-GPUs noch nvidia GPUs bei der Dekodierung unterstützt. Und das hilft bei der Vorschau massiv.

Do other NVIDIA mobile users users this new driver find the preview during render is working? I see the preview during rendering.
