About me Forum Tutorials Comments Guestbook Video on 5/27/2016 Hey Magix! Add this to Vegas MX: TRUE STORYBOARDING FUNCTIONALITY: at the very least, the ability to rearrange clips/subclips within a bin before dropping onto the timeline. This would speed up my editing process tremendously. The ability to rearrange within bins is NOT a Windows problem (as some have claimed), as I was doing this with my ///Fast Video Machine under Win95! This is a core function that got lost somewhere along the way under the newer NLEs and needs to be restored. The rest of Vegas works very well for me, and has since version 3.0 (which was the closest thing available at the time to the ///Fast product when it was discontinued.) Currently on Vegas Pro 12.0 under Win 7 and have been seriously looking at Edius. Thanks for listening. Video on 9/15/2006 What Features Would You Like Added to V7b ?? A good storyboard function has been on my wish list for a VERY long time. Even being able to arrange clips in a bin in something other than alphabetical order would work, as long as I can throw them all on the timeline at once in that order. This would be a major time saver for me, and something that I sorely miss from my days editing on the Video Machine. BTW, it was recently pointed out to me that a simple way to add a drop shadow under scrolling titles is to put them on their own track and add a drop shadow to the track itself. - Alan Video on 2/26/2003 Typographer's quotes Thanks everyone for digging into the problem. It's nice (I suppose) to know it's not me. VV's text handling is a little weak in some areas, and I was disappointed not to see them addressed in VV4, particularly scrolling text with outlines, feathering, multiple font sizes (ie, more than 3) and drop shadows. For what I want to do, it looks like for now I'll need to generate the titles in Photoshop and put a track move on them. BTW, I'm currently running VV3 on a dual Athlon 1900MP system, 512Mb ram, Win2K, dual monitors, Matrox G450, and 175 gigs of HD space. I'm expecting VV4 to show up here in the next couple of days. - Alan Video on 10/16/2002 Recorder stops "COPY INHIBIT" error Footage originally shot on either JVC DV500 or Sony VX2000. Captured via 1394 from DSR11 using VV3 Capture. The footage is virgin. - Alan Video on 10/15/2002 Recorder stops "COPY INHIBIT" error I also want to point out that this is all footage that I've shot, and that there's no problem if I overlap the clips. I don't want to overlap the clips, though. It's beginning to looks a bit like a VV problem to me. Anyone with a quick workaround is welcome to respond. To the Sonic folks: this looks like it may be a bug in the software that sends a spike at the beginning of a clip? - Alan 1
