Resolved thankyou. I used XMedia Recode to create an .mp4 and everything works fine in Vegas now.

NewBlue Titler products on VP14
Unfortunately, when I try to sign up, I still get the "an account with this e-mail already exists", then when I try to reset the password, I still get: "An error occurred attempting to reset password. HTTP_STATUS 500, err=0" If I try to click the little gear up at the top and click "support", I get a page not found error:https://www.newbluefx.com/support/help-files Ditto and that annoying pop-up screen keeps coming up.

Vegas Pro 14 Announcement - w Native ProRes!
I would like to see support for multiple audio busses in Vegas - plus being able to create a BD in 7.1. Vegas is an excellent tool for working with audio but it really does need upgrading, I can't remember the last time we got an audio upgrade.

Qualified: Yes - deal breaker is subscription. No way am I paying by subscription.. - I'm a sound guy - give me 7.1 for my bd's. And/or ambisonics.

OT: Thunderbird
I have a success ratio of around 5% on CL. But those were real good jobs with pro crews. I learned a whole bunch and made good contacts. Some of them also paid well which was a bonus! And yes I'm VERY carefull not to give out hard details until I have established their credentials. CL is the best source of film work in these parts if you are not in either of the unions, you just have to be careful. I'm glad it's not Tbird that was at fault.

Well I gave the trial a quick go. It wouldn't import any of my vegas projects so I tried creating a new one. It didn't do anything I couldn't do better in Vegas. The other part of it imported one of my .avi files but played it upside down. No, thanks, I don't need that ability. I like Vegas because of its sound capabilities. DoP is director of photography. The guy behind the cam.

OT: Animation Software for Engineering Videos?
A couple of comments on the fringe of your request: 1) The SCADA/HMI software Lookout does that sort of animation really well. But it is fairly expensive and not designed for producing demo's though I have done so with good results. The 50 I/O version is the cheapest and would be fine for simple animation such as your link. Steep learning curve though. 2) If your needs extend to beautifully created natural scenery then Vue is a good way to go. It does all types of programmable fly/walk/ motorbike/helecopter byes with ease. But expensive for the more powerfull versions. Also a steep learning curve. If you are dealing with creating HMI's in industrial instrumentation then take a boo at Lookout. The 50 I/O development version costs C$1255. http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/12515

The most likely format is half track mono. Sony did half track stereo and I use my old Sony to transfer a whole reel of half track in one go just flipping the other side digitally. The Sony has also been usefull for full track mono where there was a drop out on one half of the tape.

Thanks. It seems strange that Vegas doesn't provide a template for 2.39. I guess Vegas is not used by the real pros in the biz.
