Can't upload images to the forum
Had the same problem. Started writing a comment, uploaded a photo within the comment, could see a preview and then got the error uploading message. Didn't matter if it was a jpg or png.

Radeon vs Geforce
I don't think that Vegas supports Nvidia cards past the old 500 series. (If you look around recent posts in this Forum, there are a number of comments about this. Also on Creative Cow.) I did a series of tests using Nvidia GTX 7x0, GTX 560 and an older Radeon cards a year or so ago. I didn't keep the results, but 7x0 card was not faster than the 560 and neither Nvidia card was appreciably faster than the Radeon. That drove my decision to upgrade motherboards and move to the Radeon R380 (not the top of the line). I think Vegas has better support for GPUs with OpenCL from the ATI side rather than Nvidia's OpenCL implementation based on my experience and comments in the Creative Cow Forum. What I found was that the choice of CPU was even more important that the choice of GPU. I went from a 6 core AMD to a fifth generation i7 and achieved a huge improvement. I don't think that going to 16 GB on a video card is going to improve your performance that much. Upgrade the video card, yes. Radeon, yes. 4 GB on the card is probably all you'll need. If you can upgrade your i5 to i7 without changing the motherboard, do that. If your motherboard is more than couple of years old, I'd recommend you change that, the CPU and the GPU together. I think you'll see the biggest performance boost doing that. If you are going to get the R480, make sure to check that it is compatible BIOS/firmware/software-wise, too.

Magix_Eric D, if you are following this thread...I think you are the support rep that replied to my ticket about the time limited nature of the offer. You wrote, "Is there a specific promotion email you received which expires in 7 days? The regular upgrade landing page does not have an expiration date." Here is a screen shot from one of the pages that you supplied links to showing that the offer expires on September 27, 2016. If this is an error, please correct it. It will relieve some of the angst among your current users.

As I wrote in another thread in the forum, I got a response from Magix Support in which the tech told me that there was no expiration date, even though there is one on the page and on the email newsletter. The email offer I got contains the links you posted above. There doesn't appear to be different price for an upgrade. It appears to be the same whether you buy as a new customer or as an existing user.

VideoGuys has all three versions for sale. Pro Edit and Pro are slightly discounted and Pro Suite is slightly more expensive. Might I suggest that we all contact Magix Support about the problems with their upgrade offer or lack thereof. I just sent them questions about the length of the special offer and about the weird result that comes from using their their upgrade your software page (https://support2.magix.com/customer/vegas/upgrade) where if you have Vegas 13, you're offered Vegas 13 as an upgrade. Same thing happens if you try to upgrade Sound Forge Pro 11 (the current version). It brings up Sound Forge Pro 11 as the upgrade. where is the upgrade from V13?
Sergiob - It's $199 for Vegas Pro Edit/$249 for Vegas Pro/$349 for Vegas Pro Suite. Each version has a button to click and the price will change. The buttons are above the "Regularly $599.95" and below the "SAVE $350" on the page.

Ridiculous Registration Process
raymond-b, I, too, had registered on Magix in the distant past and forgot. I think if you click the "forgot password" button, they'll send you a link to enter a new password. And, I agree with you that the registration process could have been handled better.

I also had this same problem. Somewhere in the comments on another question in the Forum, I found the answer to this problem. I had an existing Magix account and was trying to register on the new Vegas site. When you register for Vegas, use your email address and enter your Magix password as the new Vegas password. It worked for me. Also, I don't think that registration is what they look at for the discounted upgrade pricing. You should get an email from Magix with the offer. If you were a registered Sony Vegas user, Sony should have passed on the info to Magix.
