Maybe Sony software won't release Vegas pro for mac because Technical support will no longer be able to fob you off and the point finger at your hardware as the reason for your daily crashes and bugs?

Do you think thats an excuse for a billion dollar corporation? they clearly don't put enough resources into the creative software team judging by their technical support response times etc.. Maybe Sonic Foundry should never have sold out.

I think it's a total disgrace that Sony Software and Sony Camera development can't work together when launching new products.. I've been down this road before in the past with XDCAM, both these companies might as well be on different planets.. Cal

Using a canon C100 which is outputting 1920x1080 50i via hdmi to the Ninja recording 1920x1080 50i DNxHD.

it seems that the 1888x1062 is related to how quicktime sees the file.. seen this on the red user forum: when you choose Export "Quicktime conversion" in FCP - There is a difference when you select 1920x1080(HD) and 1920x1080 "16x9". one of them results in the "1880x..." does't really help much in vegas land (?)

Here's a test clip, it's more noticeable in areas of motion, like when I wave my arm across the lens https://www.dropbox.com/sh/y6aq6y1jl0d8kyz/AABauUTzxDel-yg9yFplElC4a?dl=0 If anyone finds a fix then please do share it with me, it's really got me stumped. Normally I let vegas handle the deinterlacing which usually works out fine for me, I also did a test with the BCC deinterlace from Boris FX but no luck there either. I could try this YADIF plugin, but would like some expert opinions first? Thanks for the helps guys.

QuickTime 7.6.2 discovered something frustrating
Thanks to all you fine folk for your help and support.. that's the problem fixed now. My Drives are labeled as 'New Volume' by default, and like a few of you already mentioned.. because of the spacing in the drive name.. it wouldn't let me render a QuickTime file.. Seriously like how ridiculous is that? is this a Vegas or QuickTime bug? I have no idea how someone discovered it was related to name spacing but i'm very grateful for the fix. Thanks again for your help guys, all systems go again! Also upgraded to Quicktime v7.7.5, running fine on VP13 Cal

QuickTime 7.6.2 discovered something frustrating
I am the sole admin guys I don't have any user accounts, Quicktime was installed after Vegas.. drive names are default no spaces.. this is really weird? I can try a shorter file name regarding that 'limit on length of QT file name issue' but I don't think thats related.. This really is bizarre. Anyone running QT 7.6.2 on VP13? Can you share what QT version you are all running? Thanks, Cal

I found the best graphics card for Vegas Pro 12.0
Any updates on how current cards are performing on VP13? i've got a NVIDIA Quadro FX3800.. expensive card at the time, has caused nothing but headaches in recent years.. it's finally died a death, need to look at replacing it with something tried and tested old or new, any recommendations?

will the sony vegas for mac intends to launch?
Why be so anti-mac about it?.. my belief is that software should be available on all platforms.. Sony Vegas started life as a powerful audio-only application.. having Sound forge on the Mac at this stage means the backbone architecture of Vegas is already in place.. whether or not they choose move forward on it or have the resources to do so remains to be seen.. I for one would welcome it on a Mac and I'm a PC user.

Hi Ed, I did that too, removed both V13 & Hitfilm.. did a fresh installation.. with VP13 first followed by Hitfilm rebooted in-between both installations.. Did you by any chance have to remove your V12 as well before reinstalling Hitfilm? I'm wondering if there is a conflict between V12 & V13?

I've got the latest version.. just did a fresh install again with VP13 followed by Hitfilm2.. still no show in VP13. Is the problem linked to Vegas VP12 still being on my system? Don't tell me I need to remove this as well and re-install everything again :/

Thanks for the link vkmast, missed that thread.. Still no proper upgrade path for VP12 suite users and now we are faced with this BS from NewblueFX, VP12 suite users might already have most the software in VP13 Suite but we'd still have to buy SFP11 after an upgrade to VP13 standard edition. Sucks big time.

Vegas Pro 13 is Here.
If you have a registered account with SCS click on 'My Account' followed by 'My Software' you'll see the pricing and upgrades to Vegas Pro 13 in here, I don't think getting an offer via email will make any difference?
