Lock/Unlock Tracks Script?
Yes same as me and thanks for the pic. Now I've got to figure out why on my system none of my scripts in the folder show in V13. Seems very odd. Thanks again, Erik

Lock/Unlock Tracks Script?
Thanks Edward. I have verified that the scripts are in the Script Menu folder for V12 and V13 and I don't see them still. But I should have pointed out that I don't see any of the .cs or .js scripts. V11 does work. Weird. Has anyone got this working in V12 or hopefully V13? Erik

Lock/Unlock Tracks Script?
The script would simply lock/unlock the tracks selected when running the script. Simple but yet needed. This is a .js script that I put in the Vegas script menu folder but Vegas does not see it in V12 or V13. Erik

Vegas Pro Connect ROCKS!!!
Eric, Very nice of you to take the time to try and help me out. I understand what you are saying but I would need something a bit more elegant if I am going to get my clients involved. They are notorious for being technically challenged I'm afraid. With the whole cloud for camera proxies being offered now in V13, I am surprised that Vegas Pro Connect wasn't given a cloud connection too. Hope they can work that out because that would be something very useful to me. Thanks again, Erik

Vegas Pro Connect ROCKS!!!
Just getting started. I'm not so interested in an external control device as others. I want to my clients who live overseas to download the app on their ipad and then see my "prepared" Vegas Pro connect video files on their app. My question is since obviously they are not on the same wifi as me. How do they get the synchronized files (via some cloud server?) If so, how does one access the cloud? I understand how things work on the wifi network, not off of it. Erik

Is 770 the end of the road for VP12?
Interesting report and glad it works for you, Ironic that the Sony XDCAM mp4 proxies do not retain the markers. Known bug since V10. Painful that Sony has ignored their own XDCAM workflow in Vegas all these years.

That is not the case for clips I'm using such as MPEG-4. This is a known issue acknowledged by Sony.. What types of video are you able to get the markers and regions to stick and stay?

Just want to add a couple of bugs in V12 that are harmful to my workflow. 1) The fact that you can't add tags to subclips in V12 is a huge drag. As editors we want to get our bins tight with editing options and the best way to do that is with subclips. You can create the subclips and put them in folders, etc., but when you reopen V12 ALL of the work with subclips just disappears! 2) V12 continues the bug that started with V10 where regions and markers added in the trimmer window are not permanently saved to the original file. I am shocked that others don't use this feature as much as I do as I find it indispensable for marking in and out points with my descriptions. Workaround is to bring the clip into V9 (which does work as it is supposed to) and add the markers, regions and comments there. Then when bringing the clip into V12 it will see the markers as expected.

Just got some XDCAM footage. Need help
That looks like you are not working with any proxy but the original as it was shot. Chances are what you see is what you got. If you connect your camera using firewire or usb you can use Device Explorer I think to import the clips into Vegas for editing. Erik

New Update!!!
Well still no fix for "automatically save trimmers and markers in original file". This bug has been acknowledged by Sony for versions 10,11 and 12 and still no fix. A real shame when you consider it is for proper integration with their own product, Sony XDCAM!! Come on, fix it already! Erik

"The pricing is on the genarts site , what a strange question ." I don't think it strange to ask others what they paid. I've found the pricier that software is the more likely there are opportunities to buy it cheaper. Or simply become aware of promotions that are soon to come or whatever. It never hurts to inquire about price. $1700 for Sapphire OFX effects though? Can't you buy the entire Adobe Master Suite Collection for that kind of money? I know that you can buy Avid Media Composer 7 for $999 and just about any other software you want to mention.

Question about trimmer & regions unable to save
I found this thread from a couple of years ago and find that it is still relevant for me today. The last part of the thread switches to a discussion about proxy stream software but the first part deals with mpeg4 files not saving markers and regions correctly. Mpeg4 files (XDCAM proxy files in this case) will not automatically save my markers and regions that are selected in the trimmer. As you know, in the preferences, there is a tick box for "automatically save markers and regions in trimmer" but it is having zero effect on my mpeg4 files. I can save them correctly in Vegas9 but 11 and 12 won't do it. Current tedious workaround is to bring the clip into trimmer in Vegas9 which works correctly and then open the same file in V11 or V12. I submitted a support ticket today on this as this is a big deal for me. Anyone else reproduce this bug on their system?
