Vegas Pro installation failed, now Vegas edit won't install either
SUCCESS! I now have fully installed Vegas Pro 19, Vegas Post and Live2Post installed on two computers. The issue was the old version of Titler Pro 3 that could not be activated on this new computer. Took a while to track that down but all is well and now I can get back to my various active projects. Thanks for comments!

OK, the complete installation of Vegas Pro 19 and Vegas Stream went perfectly on my 2nd computer, including Live2Post. Vegas Stream worked well and there were no error messages. I will now go back to my 1st computer, uninstall Vegas Edit and try to install Vegas Pro 19 and Stream. Fingers crossed... I'll report in when it's done.

Thanks @jetdv. Apart from the Titler Pro issue, one of the problems was that Live2Post wouldn't install. It got about 80% through then just hung. I'm going to try installing Vegas Pro 19 on a second computer to see if that works.

Yes, @jetdv has been really helpful in the past. OK, I discovered that the problem lay with Titler Pro 3. I haven't used it in ages and in fact it was not activated on my new computer, which was the source of the problem. I uninstalled Titler Pro 3 and Vegas Edit 19 is now working properly. Although I paid AUD$113 for the upgrade to Vegas Pro 19 I'm not going near it now. Too many hassles and I've wasted more than 6 hours trying to sort this. I can't understand why Vegas Stream won't install properly but for now I'll leave it alone. Back to the review...

Actually I'm not quite sure. The header on the app shows Vegas Pro 19.0, so I thought it was Vegas Pro. Maybe I'm wrong, but how do I confirm the version?

Acon Digital plugins crash Vegas Pro 19 Build 532
Thanks, Dexcon. Appreciate the advice. I have solved the issue by restarting Vegas. Deverberate 3 now works properly as it always used to. I have no idea why Vegas was crashing but now it isn't.

I have checked Deverberate 3 in Da Vinci Resolve and it works perfectly, so it seems to be a Vegas issue.

PluralEyes4 and Vegas Pro18
Thanks, JN. I followed your instructions and PE4 works perfectly in Vegas Pro 18. I noted there is no Application Extensions folder within either the VP 18 or VP 18.0.434 folders, so I just added PE4VegasLoader14.dll to both of those folders and also the Application Extensions folder at the bottom of the list. See screenshot:

Can't record sound using ASIO4all driver
This issue is solved. A combination of input plug error on my part and incorrect mixer settings. Reason and Vegas are both able to record while playing back previously recorded tracks. I'll just go and stand in the corner for an hour... Cheers David

Yes, that fixes it, but why is that necessary? I used Wise memory Optimiser but that didn't help.

Vegas Pro 18 crashes with 32-bit and 8-bit playback especially 4K dron
Playback today with the new nVidia driver, courtesy of that excellent new Check for Driver Updates option is basically perfect with GPU either OFF or ON. I'm getting rock steady 25 FPS at Best(Full) preview quality which is fantastic. And no crashes so far... I should explain that the previous graphics driver was the one recommended for studio (as opposed to gaming) use via the GeForce Experience app. This was the same 451.77 that I re-installed via the Vegas driver update option. Anyway, today it's performing beautifully.

I used the driver update option and installed the following driver. 451.77-desktop-win10-64bit-international-nsd-whql Playback with GPU=OFF and at 8-bit seems good on my test project. I will do more tests including withy GPU=ON and post the reports tomorrow. As always I appreciate the prompt and thoughtful help from this great community!

The I/O setting is set to Auto(NVIDIA NVDEC). There is also an option for NVIDIA NVDEC without the Auto prefix. All of the Enable options at the top of this panel are unchecked.

Thanks Roger, Basically it was a mistake. I had left the project set to 32-bit when I rendered the final version out about a month ago, and then loaded it into VP18 today. I normally always edit in 8-bit. Project properties 1920x1080, 25fps 8-bit full range GPU Driver is 27.21.14.5177 Win 10Home Version 1909 OS Build 18363.959 Not sure how to generate a mediainfo report?

Legacy Text removal
I definitely agree that the legacy titler should stay. For the vast bulk of my projects it is the simplest and fastest way to generate clear titles. You have all the options of kerning, tracking, shadow, glow etc and it is realy simple and logical to use. I admit the placement pane could be improved but otherwise I just go there first. Please keep it in future versions.
