4:3 Video done in 720p
I think I figured it out. I thought it was more complicated than it really was. I kept W & H at 1280 x 720 but changed the pixel aspect ratio to 1.3333, which gave me the black side bars back, and narrowed up the people to regular size. I needed to check the box that says Stretch video to fill output frame size .... I had forgotten to do that. In the render settings, nothing had to be changed, other than from going from 29.97fps down to 23.976 It is working well.

Vegas Pro 13 won't start after system restore
If I reinstall my disc, how will I get the old updates for 13? Next time you need to do this, go to your Magix account and download it from there. It is always the latest build. Actually, that is what I ended up doing. I found it before anyone responded and had the download waiting until I heard a response. Thanks to all for their quick responses though..

Video how the nice new updater of VPro 16 works on my laptop
Mine did the same thing Mindmatter. When I closed it out to download, it said cannot update because Vegas is still running. I did it the other way to and tried the one where it says to install immediately. Same thing. Vegas is still running. Not good on my end. I'd like the new update.

.mov files just quit working in VP15
After I saw that it did not work for you in 14, and you thought a codec will work, I went and tried the NewTek codecs on their site. It now works. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for getting my brain going.

VEGAS PRO 15 won't open MOV files even after installing Quicktime
I am having issues with .mov files now for some reason. I went and uninstalled Quicktime and it wouldn't even recognize my files. At least with QT installed it gives me my audio but no video.

When I click on the video in the explorer the lower reads Video:Stream attributes could not be determined The audio section is fine.

Why would .mov files that I have in projects just suddenly now stop working when they worked before? Projects that I have completed and rendered and now I went back in and they don't work??????

Is it worth it to go from Movie Studio Platinum 14 to 15?
Wow, I don't know if I can wait that long. If I'm going to do it I need to do it I think. I'm actually upgrading from MS12 imagination studio. I can get 14 for very, very cheap. The 15 upgrade isn't that much but 12 really needs an upgrade and I am doing it on multiple computers.

Best render setting for my situation
If you're asking me, nothing that I know of. I just wanted to find out if there was a better format in VP15 than before.

Best render setting for my situation
I use 720 60p for my sports to keep the jagged edges out that I get with the 60i crap. I have never had very good luck with 1080 60i.
