Why DVD Architect Pro 5.2 don't load HD AUDIO??
musicvid You mean that DVD Architect Pro supports LPCM 6 channel discrete? because I tired load a file with 6 channel in WAV format create with Sound Forge Pro 10 and not happen nothing. About Dolby Digital AC3 Pro 51 and 2.0 it's very known not is new for me, other dvd autoring app. supports ac3 in 5.1 and 2.0 In DVD Architect manual explains the formats support by it Please explain me, thanks

Premiere Pro Cs vs Vegas 7 (head-to-head)
OK, the tests was did WITHOUT plug-ing from other companies, ONLY the own plug-ins wich each application has. And the criterias was did with the experience I have since 2001, when Vegas 2 and Premiere 5.5 runed on that years The first version of Vegas wich it impresioned me was 4. We hope what Vegas 8 comes strong and rocks the scene Now DVD Architect 5 is sure what it comes with authoria for Blu Ray or HD DVD, because Adobe Encore CS3 cans make Blu Ray DVDs. You think, if all the apps from Sony Creative Software could be adquired by a big enterprise like Adobe, Autodesk, Steinberg or Magix then all the apps adquired WILL BE more stables, more robust and more powerfull? and if that apps WOULD run on MAC and LINUXS then that apps will be the "DIVINE APPS" for audio and video NLE. Vegas vs Final Cut Pro
Well, I not try Final Cut Pro Studio 2 yet, but I know wahat Final rocks to Vegas in many senses and factors, only I was trying Premiere Pro CS3 and it is very close to be heat-to-head with Vegas and many times Premiere wins to Vegas. Yes Vegas 4 was a genial version and Vegas 5 was cool, but, but Vegas 6 not was neither fine, just some good. Vegas 6 carried many critical bugs in the first release, 2 FX not worked and it was very criticed. We hope what the version 7 comes with new effects, new tools, new horizons to get more efficence over tha others apps. Vegas 6 is god ewditor but when i work with it, in feel working with Vegas 4, BECAUSE, between 4 and 6 version THERE IS NOT a huge difference. Others software makes feel you the difference between a old version and the new version. Please Sony, MAKE US FEEL the difference this time!!!! God bless you. Juan

Yes, AMD processor Dual Core o not , are fines to render or view the project in real-time, I lived it ! Only I have AMD Athlon FX 64, but equal rocks render and do real-time in my audio and video projects Juan

Maybe I'm an idiot...
Vegas is a very robust application like try learn to use in a day or in a week, the practice is the first goal in any project, simple or complex. Sure in a month or two you'll can use Vegas in a 25% because, Vegas work more with the user's mind, V.6 has many, many custom configurations than Premier Pro 2 hasn't it. Just use it a lot and don't get you blue! Luck!!!

Your First Computer?
My first computer had: 1.0 GHz processor Pentium 3 256 MB ram Soyo Mainboard (withstereo sound and many PCI slots and 2 usb ports) CD burner 8X Samsung (in nowdays it's up to 32X) Hard Disk 40GB Quantum Fireball Monitor Samsung 15" Tarjet Video NVidia 32 MB (hasn't FX yet in that days) And yet so, Vegas Video 3.0 runed fine in that dates, my first computer was purchased in August 2001. Now in 2006 , my sencond generation computer is more powerfull then the first (look my profile) only I have yet the keyboard, the hard disk and the flopy from the first computer. I hope to get a computer more powerfull in 3 or 5 year in the future, why??? because I work con audio, video and dvd. Juan

My DVD to be edited on mac?
Ok, for demux a VOB file or to convert a VOB file to Mpeg 2 with AC-3 sound I use "Mpeg Video Wizard" www.womble.com If you respet the same settings or features of original VOB file, u will get a quick convertion, if ur PC is quick too. Juan

CBR or VBR
Ok ok, I made a mistake when I said what a video with VBR is more big than a video with CBR. But, then... whay a 95% DVD has VBR in the video files (VOB)?? Yes, is rigth what for more motion and more image with many details is necesary more bits per second and VBR. For example for cartoon DVDs(like Manga) with a VBR 4,600,000 bps is normal, but for cartoons whit more motion ans mor image with many details like "Ghost in the shell" the VBR is 8,000,000 bps. But "Ghost in the shell" wasn't the exception, becuase in the movie "Lord of rings" (the last episode) was nescesary give to movie a VBR of 24,000,000 bps, due lots and lots of video motions and video effects. The movie was mixed the real world with 3D world and for not "feel" the deference between the real video and the 3D video was necesary give 24,000,000 VBR. Well the the real difference between CBR and VBR is: VBR: analizes each video's frame and adjust the best quality for that frame, each frame is analized individualy (this task repeats for all frames in the video) For this reason a video with VBR is more big than a video with CBR. CBR: no analises each frame, only adjust a value and a quality for all frames in the video (this task repeats for all frames in the video) For this reason a video with CBR is less big that a video with VBR. What kind of DVD-R's are you using now?
Well, I am using DVD Burner LG (model SGA-4167B super multi) and DVD - R Imation and I haven't any troubles at moment to burn the a project dvd from DVD Architect or Nero. Here in Peru DVD Burners LG is one a dvd burners must sells, Pioner, Samsung and no many and Iomega aren't many sells And more DVD-R sells here are: Imation and Princo. Juan

Yes the cryption technologie for DVDs nowdays is impossile, maybe in the yerar 2008 or 2010, then maybe will be a unique universal format for video digital and copy protection for DVDs, off coure what that days also will be tool crackers for broke that protection, he he. Well, I wrote only the important Vegas' features could be has the next version of DVD Architect, NOT ALL FEATURES. Volume and Pan, many subtitles support and 2 plugin video (brithness and contrast) COULD BE reasonable it isn't??? what you think about it?? Bye Bye Juan

Adding VOB files to timeline & V6c.
Yes.... Vegas 6c cans load a VOB file on the timeline with all video frames and audio wave peaks, like a commun mpeg 1 or 2. I remember what in Vegas 5 and 6b was impossible edit a VOB file like a mpeg file, because only show the video frames but not audio peaks on the timeline. When the VOB file is loaded on the timeline finally is possible edit it and render it to any video format. (mpeg 1 or 2, quick time, real, avi, etc) Juan

Unlucky, in Europe very few people know about Vegas 6.0, Sound Forge 8.0 or Acid Pro 5.0, the main reason is what Europe has their own softwares wich are very know just in the Europe continent, such as Avid, Final Cut Pro HD, Samplitude Professional 8.0, Sequoia 8.0, Nuendo 3.0, Wavlab 5.0, Cubase SX 3, Reason 3.0, Premiere Pro 1.5, Audition Pro 1.5, Ultra 2.0, etc, etc another main reason is what these software runs in Windows and Macitoch plataform. OT: Vegas vs Avid and Premiere
Really few days ago, I've been to try to use Avid XPres 4.6, and really I can't use it, is quick to start up, but to load or open a video file, I most to format change from mpg1 to avi or quick time to can edit with Avid, and to change of format is very slowly and when finnly I put the video in the timeline of Avid and one want to see the effects is necessary and obligatory to render the effects maked in the video, it isn't on Vegas 6.0 or Premier Pro 1.5 or Mpeg Video Wizard 2005. For me Avid is a software of the age XV century, he he. Finally, I uninstalled Avid and I to throw it to the waste basket. Premier Pro 1.5 is good but the edition tools aren't good like the Vegas' 6.0 edition tools. Mpeg Video Wizard 2005 is very fast to join many mpeg or avi files, because just works into a level bits and hexadecimal codes. Mpeg Video Wizard 2005 do not show video frames neither audio wave forms, but the the ruler time is 100% precise, great to make editions precises, The effects are 100% in real time, and you can to render many video and audio file into a one video whit audio inclued. Unlucky Mpeg Video Wizard 2005 isn't a multy track, just has one video and video track plus one text track and voice track. I use Vegas 6.0 to do professional editions I use Mpeg Video Wizard 2005 to cut, to split and join many audio and video mepg files and I use TMPGEnc Plus delete noise from video and change levels colours or TMPGEnc XPress to render a mpeg file to DVD NTSC / PAL , or to render Vidx or too another templates.
