You burned a DVDA project with Nero?
When I add the video-ts and audio_ts folders to Nero's queue, I get a warning message: "you have added dvd-video content to a compilation type that will not result in a DVD-Video compliant disc. To create discs playable in standalone DVD-Video players, please use the DVD compilation type" I'm assuming that means I need to make an adjustment in Vegas. Anybody know what that is? Thx so much...

3d track motion without debugmode...
I didn't realize they were two different programs in effect. I have an old zip of the pluginpac. So I'm good to go. And you guys continue to be the most valuable resource in the world.

3d track motion limitation?
I remember debugmode having a plug-in that allowed 3d track manipulation of sort I'm speaking of. i.e., I sometimes used it to adjust the X, Y & Z planes separate from Sony Vegas.

hc5 cam is recognized by Vegas...
I think you solved it. Or at least, I bumbled around enough in the menu until something worked, and then, sudennly, finally, it worked. =) Thx

Best Vegas setting for a "film look"?
but the curves is, as far as I can tell, the best "after the fact" option. I've noticed that even a minor change in clor balance or desaturation helps to mimic certain kinds of film looks. Thx again

Decks compatible with Sony HVR-V1U?
But I think I'm phrasing the question wrong. I just read that the HDR-HC5 did NOT record in progressive scan. So I'm assuming that it couldn't play back an HDV tape recorded in, say, 24p, even if the footage was recorded on an HVR-V1U. Is that correct?

thx, but feel free to direct me to more info. I was wondering if there was an ac3 demo somewhere on the Web. Anything? Something that could illustrate the standards as well as the possibilities?

You're basically saying, "Let the action dictate." There's not reason to "force" surround sound when it's not there. It's okay to have a narrative voice at the front center, right? Not necessarily "cooler" or more "surround" to place it in the center of the specturm, right?

"secondly, the LFE channel must be created and allocated from within the VEgas timeline, (Ie duplicate track once the mix is done then allocate THAT new track to LFE" This is where I'm confused: I have the project setings, for audio, on 5.1 s.s., w/LFE filter enabled. I render an video file (HDV Cineform 1440x1080i, w/enabled channel mapping checked, "surround master, 6 chs" checked, and the audio is also set to PCM, 48k, 16b, channels = 6. My audio, for test purposes, has distinct sounds, on distinct channels. i.e., 1st audio track = far front left, 2d trk = far front right, 3rd track = far rear left, 4th trk = far rear right, 5th trk = far center front, and the LFE trk. I render the HDV file, pull it back into the Vegas timeline, and I see the separate mono tracks, but they're just mono audio tracks. No LFE track represented. the panning is gone. I wanna create an HDV file w/5.1 s.s., so that when it transfers it to an HDCAM cassette, I have the audio mix exactly the way I had it originally in the Vegas timeline. I apologize for the wordiness. Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

Thx. I see there's a lot of conversion tools out there for this. Any recommends out there? Anybody experience with this kind of stuff? Also, I noticed that the resulting file appears to have no sound, at least when I pull it into a Vegas timeline. but it plays in a Nokia player, sound and all.

"If you've edited your show acquired in HDV, you'll do better sending them a hard drive and having them print from that, and the cost is about the same." This would be the perfect situation. Thanks so much

Just installed Vegas. No sound....
Uninstalled Vegas, uninstalled DivX, bsplayer, ac3 decoder and winamp. The only media player left was WMP. Reinstalled Vegas. Still no sound on Vegas. But crystal clear on WMP. I'm using a Biostar mobo with the audio built-in if that means anything.
