Waves clarity voice isolation alternative
I use ERA 4 Noise Remover by Accusonus and am happy with it. Version 5 went subscription only and I think the company was bought out since and no longer support their plugins. Maybe a preowned version is available somewhere?

Syncaila: A less expensive option, for synching your clips.

Does Vegas Pro offer support????
I'd like to suggest Vegas team makes it a bit easier for users of VP19 and 20. Rather than having users, who may be new to Vegas, figure out where to download the VP18 manual, maybe a copy of the pdf of the VP18 manual can be edited, so that the first page is a huge text disclaimer that Magix are still working on an updated manual, meanwhile here is the VP18 manual which will cover most topics. Then this pdf should be uploaded to the Vegas site, in the location where users of VP19 and VP20 can access/download. Hopefully before too long Vegas team can replace it with a new actual VP19 and VP20 manual.

Is it possible (audio and video)
I found myself having to reset all opacity of most video clips of a track, plus all/different audio clips of the audio track grouped with the said video track. Is it possible to quickly reset them? Also, is it possible to move all events of all tracks after certain time without manually selecting them? I am talking about 40 tracks with events all over. I can obviously use the control+A to select everything, but that doesn't help as I only want everything after a point. Also if I use the selection edit tool it can be done, but due to the amount of events and length of the project (over an hour), it's taking too long and too slow till I select them. So, is it possible to say quickly select all events on all tracks after certain timecode and then move them as I wish? RE: is it possible to move all events of all tracks after certain time without manually selecting them? I'd suggest selecting an item at the desired location on each track, simultaneously by holding shift, then right click "select events to end" ( or maybe select all after cursor). All desired events should move together.

No audio after rendering
Longshot as Realtek audio drivers were mentioned earlier. For last year, frequently when I try to change laptop speaker volume using the speaker icon on taskbar, it flashes nonstop between some volume and "x" i.e. no sound. During this there is no sound from speaker. I never tried rendering in Vegas while this is happening, but OP maybe check your speaker icon on Win taskbar isn't doing something crazy.

Help needed choosing new GPU
With the crazy markups on GPUs, it often makes sense to buy a prebuilt new PC, almost the only way to get a GPU at cost or close to it. On Reddit forum buildapcsales there is often discussion re this. It may be possible to take the GPU from the new PC and put it into your old one if that makes sense. If you get really lucky, a PC comes up with an AMD CPU with built in graphics AND a separate GPU, in that case you can remove and use the GPU, and sell the new PC as a functioning PC using the AMD CPU graphics.

DVD Import Which Version?
Copy the entire DVD file structure to a folder on your hard drive. In Vegas go to the video_TS folder. Drag VTS_01_0.IFO to your timeline. Entire DVD is imported.

wav and m4a audio files not playing correctly
I had issues in the past with audio files located on a USB drive, they worked fine on C drive. Any chance the files are on a USB drive?

Help With Sharpening Settings
Just in case it helps, there is also Vegas "sharpen" in addition to "unsharp mask". I usually use some sharpen on Red R3d footage, I have no experience with GoPro.

Does Vegas Pro 19 Support .R3D Files?
@RogerS ...exactly! I started with Vegas in the late 90's when it was introduced as Audio Mastering Software by Sonic Solutions, and have followed it (And Loved It) as it morphed into a full fledged Audio-DAW and then to NLE status. I use other platforms but my first love was {Sony Vegas Pro} I edited .R3D files in Vegas Pro 9, 11 years ago [what we called raw meant something else back then, it meant straight from the camera]...so to answer your question, it's impossible to know how many RED users used Vegas, But I DID! Vegas use to be the new codec pioneer in the past...so, when I saw the advertisement of support for red raw files...My hope and desire was to try it again! As soon as Vegas catches up, many more people could edit RED on Vegas -again! I know that the size of the company can't compare to the massive machine that Sony is, so I'm not discrediting their efforts to inspire the masses with the current direction of Vegas Pro. I guess my main point is, the system you use -should not be based on societies requests or suggestions. An artist should be limited only by his or her (or Their) imagination not by the codec's that a platform can or can not accept. As creative artist (vegasCREATIVEsoftware) we should be able to cut great work from various popular codecs in the platform and OS of our choice. As of today, sadly the answer to your question is probably "NO RED USERS" because Vegas Pro 19 will not support the latest files :{ Thanks for the comment, have a blessed and wonderful day! Does Vegas Pro 19 Support .R3D Files?
@wjauch ... it's a good thing the Komodo can record in various versions of ProRes (even though it eats up more HD space) I could always use that for projects that I want to cut on Vegas...(i hope) Thanks! There was a post on a Facebook Vegas group from someone who dropped a ProRes file onto a Vegas 19 timeline with a comment "look what happens". Don't recall what happened but I guess it, at least partly worked.

Does Vegas Pro 19 Support .R3D Files?
Sadly Vegas is not up to date in this respect. They were one of the first to support R3D about 9 years ago. When Red Dragon came out it took them maybe 2 years to support it. I think they are still using that old SDK from Red. VP seriously needs an update here, hopefully coming at some stage as VP19 has added BRAW support as a beta feature. FYI red.com has sample R3d files you can download from different cameras, unless you have an issue with your installation of VP19 the older ones will work. You can use Red Cine-X to transcode the R3d ( I briefly did that with Cineform codec some years ago).

Yes I agree. I was tricked by the wording, so now Im stuck with Vegas Edit instead of Vegas Pro. Im not buying the software 2xs. Try reaching out to Magix Sales. I bought the Edit 18>19 package based on a lack of info on 19, and then wanted to upgrade to Pro once they published what it offered. They rejected my request once, but I tried again and was successful. /G I think this is an area Magix could improve on. They allow an upgrade from an old version of VP and I believe in the past from Movie Studio to VP. Allowing an upgrade from Edit to Pro or Post should be a simple online process. Why would a business turn down $$?

Add hold to first frame and stretch out to left.
The way I have done this is to split after the first frame, then drag remainder of clip to right. Copy/paste copies of first frame to fill the space.

Planning to buy a new Asus Ryzen 9 laptop to run Vegas Pro!
Running Vegas Pro on a HP Omen laptop Ryzen4800H and 1660ti GPU. Handles 5k Red Raw footage pretty well. I did add a second NVME SSD to hold the footage, so I'd suggest making sure the ASUS can have a second SSD drive added

4K MOVIES WITH VEGAS PRO 18 EDIT
I suspect it will work. Minimum recommended is an i5, you have a low power i7. It will probably help is laptop has an SSD drive, usually something you can upgrade yourself. Depending on your source files you may end up using proxies. My best suggestion is to try the 2 week trial and test yourself on your laptop

Specs New Computer
FYI it is almost impossible to get a current gen or previous gen NVdia GPU without paying a hugely inflated markup, bitcoin etc miners are buying them.(AMD is similar) You may need to settle for a prebuilt system from a manufacturer who can actually get GPU.

Why are my all my events ungrouped?
Resetting instructions here. And most likely not the case here, but remember that in the two latest versions you can "temporarily ignore event grouping when moving an event: Hold both the left and right mouse buttons as you drag an event to move it independently from other group members". Thank you vkmast, a very useful piece of information that I for one did not know.

Cheapest way to transcode Prores Raw for use in VP17/VP18?
In terms of RAW, right now we are prioritizing ProRes and BlackMagic. We have some other updates we need to get done for XAVC and Red support as well. Canon Raw is lower on our priority list at the moment. Delighted to hear Red support will be updated, AFAIK Vegas back in the Sony days was among the first NLE's to support Red.
