how can i use this script for 1 more month

or i must have to buy ??

@jasmohan-k

A 30 day trial period should be sufficient for one to decide whether or not to purchase a license. Since there are always changes, I've decided to permit a new trial license six months after the initial trial activation. In other words, if you don't like it now, you can try it again in six months. Since the changes from the initial release to the current build are fairly minor, with the exception of UHD monitor support, that policy seems reasonable.

its ok and thnks for your reply . but i need only VCE encoding. because other feature i wony use or i dont know to how to use them.

is any other way to get only VCE ENCODER .

AND For  $79 USD. how many month i can use this script. or its for life time

john_dennis schrieb am 22.06.2020 um 16:32 Uhr

@jasmohan-k

VCE encoding is supported in Vegas 15 -17 under the Magix Internet Render Templates. There is another application that enables VCE called Voukoder if all you need is access to VCE.

Personally, I use HOS or the native VCE in Vegas Pro or ...

wait for it...

wait for it...

wait for it...

CPU only.

"how many month i can use this script. or its for life time"

Life time. I've sent you a couple of emails regarding the trial license but have not received any reply.

As John pointed out--if all you want is VCE encoding, you can do it inside of Vegas.

Hi,

I just started using the HappyOtterScripts. Enjoying it a lot!

It's so handy to have a toolbar to populate with your preferred scripts.

However, I'm facing an issue regarding the scripts added in toolbar, since after restarting Vegas 17 (Build 452) their respective icons.png are reset and replaced by the Vegas default icon.

I'm using HappyOtter v1.0.3.3.

Below there is a screenshot illustrating the issue, and here a screencast detailing it: https://bit.ly/3dpI7UX

How to set HappyOtter to keep the custom icons.png even if Vegas is restarted?

Thank you!

wwaag schrieb am 22.06.2020 um 21:53 Uhr

@cadudesun

I just discovered that bug a couple of days ago and it will be fixed in the next build that should be out later this week. However, as a workaround, try this. Rename the associated png files by adding "32" to each file name. E.g. rename "script.png" to "script32.png". I'd try one just to make sure it works.

@wwaag

Many thanks for the prompt reply and the workaround. The "32" did work!

By the way, all this customization on scripts and even settings I'm performing on HappyOttter toolbars, where is it saved?

I mean, I'd like to know how to restore HappyOttter settings/customization after a clean install.

wwaag schrieb am 22.06.2020 um 22:19 Uhr

Before you update, you need to save a template. To do so, just type in a new name into the drop-down list and click on the green + button.

This works "only" if you update to a new build. If you do a clean install, you will need to save the template to an external location. Templates for OtterBar and OtterInfoBar are found in the respective folders in C:\ProgramData\HappyOtterScripts\Magix Vegas Pro.

@wwaag

I'm facing two issues using HappyOtter v1.0.3.3 with Vegas 17 (Build 452)

a) ImportAssist: Always I click on it triggers "VEGAS Pro has stopped working" and crash.

b) OtterBar: Although I can dock the "OtterBar", when Vegas is restarted the bar is missing. Even I save a layout having the OtterBar docked, when I restore the layout the bar is missing too.

However, I could dock the other "OtterInfoBar" and restart Vegas without any problem. Also restore a layout having that bar works properly.

I would like to have both "OtterBar" and "OtterInfoBar" docked.

Thank you!

@jasmohan-k

thnkx its working now till july 1

i am using vegas 13 (453 ) version

thats y i need vce encoder. i am using this because its most stable version

wwaag schrieb am 23.06.2020 um 19:59 Uhr

@cadudesun

a) I've had no one else report such an issue. So do the following. Try to open IA again where it crashes. Then immediately send me this folder: "C:\ProgramData\HappyOtterScripts\Magix Vegas Pro\ImportAssist". You can send as an attachment to support@tools4vegas.com.

b) The docking issue is a Vegas problem where sometimes it gets "lost" for want of a better term. I've experienced that problem when switching between an FHD and UHD monitor during testing where the only solution was to reset Vegas. Before doing that, give this a try. If you can get both OB and OIB correctly docked, create and save a Windows Layout. Then close and reopen.

First: Thanks for the "Insert Freeze Frame" script...super helpful. Is there any way to launch this or even the Otter Bar with a keystroke combo (ctrl + something, etc.) instead of selecting from the script/extensions menu or docking?

wwaag schrieb am 25.06.2020 um 21:42 Uhr

@kplo

Sure. For InsertFreezeFrame, just copy the script into your script menu folder. Then open Customize Keyboard and search for InsertFreezeFrame and it will show this:

Enter whatever Shortcut key you want. The same is true for OtterBar.

Hi,

Besides scripts from "Tools>Scripting", is there any way to add commands from "Options>Customize Toolbar" on the slots available in "OtterBar" and "OtterInfoBar"?

If not, I'd like to convert this question into a feature suggestion, since those bars would be so handy for organization of every Vegas command.

Thank you!

wwaag schrieb am 26.06.2020 um 18:13 Uhr

At the moment, that is not easily supported since they are not available to the scripting API. It would be possible to create a two-step solution, first create a keyboard shortcut for the desired command, and then execute the shortcut from OIB or OB. In fact, the tool MediaRenamer works in a similar manner. It doesn't launch the tool directly, but rather sends macro commands to simulate the user launching the command manually. It's really a kludge, but the only way I could launch it without use of a keyboard shortcut.

@wwaag

The shortcut workaround would do the job.

I searched the HappyOtter documentation looking for how to set the OtterBar to launch a shortcut, but couldn't find information. Can it be set already by the user, or you mentioned just a possibility demanding future implementation?

Thank you!

wwaag schrieb am 04.07.2020 um 02:42 Uhr

@cadudesun

That would be for the future. At the moment, only scripts can be launched. I'll take a look at what it would require.
