I do not know how to add pictures
Duncan H schrieb am 23.08.2013 um 12:09 Uhr
Hi David,

To add pictures, you need to read the "sticky" at the top of this Vegas Pro Forum (item 3 in the list), entitled:"New markup for this post (or similar)", it gives instructions on how to post images into the forum. You do need to be able to do this sort of thing to get the most out of the forum.

Regards,

Duncan

@David:

The screenshot images appear to be in mirror image reverse and also a foreign language. So I cannot tell you if these settings look okay but maybe another Forum user can if that person can read the screenshots.

Can you choose a setting so that your Nvidia Control Panel displays in English?

Regards,

Kimberly
David israel schrieb am 23.08.2013 um 15:07 Uhr

I can translate it to English if that helps

David:

If you are not already using these settings for Nvidia, try these:

Not sure if that will help you, but it worked for me the first time I installed Vegas 12 and it got stuck on "initializing GPU" or whatever that error message says . . .
David israel schrieb am 23.08.2013 um 16:33 Uhr

There is a difference between my version to yours, and I noticed only got two sections and you have three

Can you tell me what kind of i7 processor you have in your system? Is it one that has it's own GPU? If so, take out the graphic card and use only the processor GPU. This will bypass any Nvidia driver issue you may have. If you manage to open Vegas without the graphic card, the next step would be to disable GPU acceleration, restart Vegas and if all is ok you can try and put the graphic card back into the system and make a system restore point.

I do not think I have this kind of processor, but maybe I'm wrong, there is some kind of way to know?
Kimberly schrieb am 23.08.2013 um 16:49 Uhr
David:

Another idea is to set Vegas 12 to use the High Performance Nvidia Processor (similar to the way it looks on the picture that I posted). I know you have this screen because I recognized it in the screenshot that you posted even though it was not in English.

So read your screen and select High Performance Nvidia Processor. Be sure to click Apply at the lower right or left edge of the Nvidia Control Panel after you make this change.
David israel schrieb am 23.08.2013 um 17:00 Uhr

I do not have that option, but everything points to my global settings, so if you can I would love it if you could show me your settings
By the way do you think that this can be caused because of the version of the Sony?, Because if you look back it's not happened to me in any different version
Kimberly schrieb am 23.08.2013 um 18:09 Uhr
David:

Is it possible to set your Global Settings to use the High Performance Nvidia Processor? See picture below. Be sure to click Apply after making any changes.

If this doesn't work, I'm am out of ideas for now . . .

Kimberly

Check your computer properties, it should list the processor in your system. You can also check the back of your case if there is a connector, DVI, HDMI or Display Port that comes from your motherboard. If you don't have ant monitor connector on your motherboard then you cant do what I suggested independent of your processor.

Please post screenshots of your Global Settings tab too.

You can have the screenshots display as pictures on this Forum by doing the following:

except not with the spaces following/preceding the brackets. Read here for more information on how to post pictures and links:

Someone asked the question earlier in this thread and you never did really answer: have you recently loaded a Non-Vegas codec pack such as k-lite or similar?
