RE: Severe lag when cutting or moving clips in VEGAS Pro 23 (4K 25fps)
@Cyrielle said: "My media files are recorded in Sony XAVC-S (AVC) format, 3840x2160, 25 fps (PAL), with progressive scan and limited color range." Which camera are you using? Why is your audio track mono? Is the audio from another source?

There is an option for animation. Add the effect to the track. Then click on the "Configure FX Automation" button In the window that opens, select the parameters you want to automate. In this case, there was only one option but other effects will

RE: Vegas Pro v.21 (build 315) 'preview' appearance of Video Output FX?
Adding an Fx to the video output applies it to everything on the timeline. Usually track or event is more appropriate. You will see what the Fx does in the preview window as long as the timeline play head is in the place you want to see.

Black Dot on Pan/Crop Icon Not Active -- Vegas 20
I'm using Vegas 20 on a PC. I have two images on different tracks that are the same size. The image on the lower track will pan/crop as expected, strarting in the center of the video frame and panning to the left out of view. The image on the upper

RE: [Detailed report] VST makes my timeline's performance extremely slow
I use a lot of VST3 plugins in my work, and I have found that VEGAS Pro becomes sluggish when I add too many third-party VST3 plugins directly to audio events on the timeline. It becomes noticeably slow to edit audio events, and projects that once

RE: Need to stretch out the sides of a video
NewBlue also has a Progressive Stretch effect that will stretch the edges but leave the center. Often I'll just take the same image, put it on the track below, and do a Gaussian Blur blurring the outside edges.

RE: MOCHA PRO Problem with VP23
The release notes for Mocha Pro 2025.5.2 lists (starting at page 129) the compatible third-party software for exporting Mocha Pro data. Vegas Pro 19+ is listed on page 131 as compatible software for both track and shape exports but with the

Though not mentioned in your Signature, if you happen to have HitFilm Pro or the Ignite Pro plugin package (version 4.1 or above), you might find success with the 'Neon Path' FX which creates a neon-like animated path following user set keyframes -

I think I'd: Circle the wagons. Export the text of the credit roll. Import into Photo Shop (GIMP). Save as transparent .png and... back in Vegas Pro Animate with Pan/Crop and Track Motion.

Select the events (not the tracks) and press 'U' on the keyboard to ungroup. Or press Ctrl+Shift+U to ignore all event grouping (there's also a button in the transport and editing bar below the timeline to do this). To group again, select the events

@PeterH really nice! Questions coming.... 1. What mics used on the drums? Oh, and his ending was great! 2. What did you use to mix everything? 3. What mixing equipment did you use? 4. Cameras? How long did it take you to edit things?

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
Indeed, both are just editing tools and I like to use both. Agreed. No argument there. I think the free version had/has limitations with 10-bit HVEC H.265. I shoot mostly Sony S-Log or DJI D-Log M and editing and rendering became an issue. I rarely

Vegas 23 Improvements in Audio Track Interface
VP23 enhanced the color assignments for the timeline audio track display, and it's a godsend for those of us with smallish (27") 4K monitors. Trying to see audio envelopes (especially the envelope points) is way easier. Also, markers are more

Thank you for your answer. The area where you put audio and video tracks. I have it undocked in 22. No...I don't think you have it undocked. Please post a screenshot of you VP 22 layout because I am quite curious as to what you are talking about.

@Alfrain-Supaul I don't have VP23, I tried it but it wasn't for me. As Mocha Vegas isn't inc in VP23 the tracking data option is no longer there, but you don't need it with Mocha Pro., Once you've tracked & stabilized the clip in Mocha choose

    Audio Track Loop-Record Modes
I've been recording guitar in Vegas Pro 22 by setting a loop range in a song and capturing one section at a time. If I don't like a take, I just let it loop around and record again. When I bring the track into Sound Forge, I see that Vegas has kept

The approach I take is similar to above but I find Picture In Picture fx the most convenient. More so than Track Motion. Or pan/crop on the event. Although with a little more work, you might get higher quality with pan/crop.
