  The cursor issue is not an NVIDIA driver one. Try playback with collapsed tracks to see it. 541 is getting old for VEGAS though and also didn't work with NV Encoding in the newest build.

  Have you tried to see if “Rewrap” helps? Another thing you could try is to extract the audio track in Shutter Encoder using the “Extract” “Audio” function and see if it is then recognized completely in Vegas.

  From my experience, Vegas implementation of MIDI and Mackie has been the bare minimum. And some odd behaviour. When I use my X-touch with Vegas, as soon as I start a new project, the first fader sets to 0. But it is controlling the master track.

  Normally, noise gate is already automatically in place. You would be able to see it in the track header (click on the three dots). But in the view you showed, click on one of the yellow folders on the left. Noise gate will be in the VEGAS list.
