  @jason-duncanIn order to export closed captions for DVD, you have to create closed captions. Are you creating closed captions or just text on a track? Same for Export regions, you have to create the title as a region.

  From my experience, Vegas implementation of MIDI and Mackie has been the bare minimum. And some odd behaviour. When I use my X-touch with Vegas, as soon as I start a new project, the first fader sets to 0. But it is controlling the master track.

  Normally, noise gate is already automatically in place. You would be able to see it in the track header (click on the three dots). But in the view you showed, click on one of the yellow folders on the left. Noise gate will be in the VEGAS list.

  @RogerS's process worked, nothing got out of sync doing it that way. If you don't keep the muted events and you have a mistake, when you expand back out to multiple tracks, you can't undo the camera switch because it deletes all those muted events.
