    COLOR GRADING automation/keyframe Hell
I paid in full for Vegas Pro 23 months ago but ive barely used it because every time I try, I just spend hours frustrated and stuck on trying to do just one thing before giving up and going back to premiere pro. The way effects works in Vegas 23 to

    RE: Highlighting text
Sorry to necro a 10 year old thread, but I this kept coming up on my searches with this exact same problem and I was really frustated by the apparent lack of a solution. Anyway, I found another way that's pretty simple. - put video/image content on

    RE: COLOR GRADING automation/keyframe Hell
Here's an easy way to automate the color wheels... Place an event on the timeline. We're going to assume that someone walks into another room with different lighting in this clip, and we need to adjust the color corrector accordingly to pull off

    RE: COLOR GRADING automation/keyframe Hell
@Sherman-Hutchison ... which is to say there are no keyframes in the Color Grading Panel (where the wheels can be seen). It acts like a LUT in many regards. So as @Howard-Vigorita says you can simulate the behavior of varying parameters by

RE: Pro 22 has stopped being able to handle my HEVC video files...suddenly
4:2:2 does produce superior results, due to the fact that these cameras aren't shooting native resolution, but are downscaling from a higher pixel density, so even on single sensors you're still getting more than 4:2:0, but unless you plan on doing

RE: Vegas Pro 23 HDR video rendering
Windows does not support HLG preview, best to work in HDR10. Make sure you have your footage set to the right color space (right click, properties, media, color space, make sure rec2020 (1000 nits) is selected. Try other Rec2020 flavors or HLG

    RE: MAGIC BULLET LOOKS
OT (but the very original post was about MBL not Universe): The biggest problem IMO about MBL was that new builds/versions weren't backwards compatible. If I created a color grade in MBL b3.1.1 but then installed MBL b3.1.4, I'd still have to have

@Peter_P SeMW default settings, with full Color corrections with Computer RGB. With Studio RGB I get a similar result as with the @jetdv script. Picture Enhanzr was also default settings.

RE: Updating an SD MiniDV project to HD in Vegas Pro 23
@Harold-Linke  ... Thus far with AI Upscale, it's 'Sharp' with the 'Improve Sharpness' checkbox checked Once all the stabilisation is done in Resolve (now half done), I'll have to check if that's the best setting for all video events because I've

    RE: COLOR GRADING automation/keyframe Hell
The way I do color grading is by using Vegas CGP instead of the FX chain stacked up with individual FX. To automate CGP, I apply it as an event-FX to cross-faded adjustment events on an adjustment track instead of key-frames.

RE: Auto correction effect in Vegas?
I was testing today other footage I recorded and I had to resign from prodad Picture Enhanzr, just because the fact the rendering was 8 times slower than with color curves applied. The result with using prodad Picture Enhanzr was ok in preview, but

RE: Can we use Adjustment Events as Nodes like we use in Davinci Resolve?
    1. I used to do all my color grading in Resolve, bringing an exported lut back to Vegas to continue. Until Vegas added cgp which is very similar. Only feature I miss are color-chart masks. But a simple Vegas mask works well enough.2. I do layered

Can we use Adjustment Events as Nodes like we use in Davinci Resolve?
Hi everyone, I need your honest and practical input — no biased opinions please. I’ve been using VEGAS Pro for a long time and I genuinely enjoy working on it. I am not interested in switching to other editing software unless there is a real,

Is ProRes support still broken in Vegas 23?

Scene detection in Vegas pro 21. How to mark clips to properly move

RE: Pro 22 has stopped being able to handle my HEVC video files...suddenly
@Kevin-vonDuuglas-Ittu Realistically 10-bit 420 should give you good results for challenging lighting, etc. It may not be as robust for keying if you do that though as there's less color resolution. That's a great question on VEGAS. At present there

RE: Anyone notice images rotated w/small push using PIP get "soft"?
Isn't obvious with multicam editing that everything is disabled that could hamper a fluent preview, which is crucial for multicam editing? Adding Fx, LUT's, stabilization etc etc is the last step in the editing process (before exporting/rendering)

Fabulous! I didn't realize that cntrl clicking on the thumbnails in the main timeline also selects them on the timeline, which is the only place where you can create a group. You just saved me a lot of time, and now I can color correct a whole track
