RE: What format does Vegas send data to the encoder?
It isn't getting the same quality of data as Vegas's local encoders get but don't know how to measure how bad that is or what's happening. If I give Vegas a grayscale gradient from pure black to pure white I get a different amount of unique colors

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
Copying color grading settings from one clip to another does not save values and will soft lock the user out from doing any color grade changes unless they reset to default values.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
@jacknsb I was able to copy/paste color grading to another clip without any issues. And if I wanted to edit the pasted event in the color grading panel, I could without issue.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 278 General Discussion
Vegas Pro 23 crashes when I have a clip with the 'sharpen' effect and try to adjust the color curve in the 'color grading' panel. Any solution? Thank you very much.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
Vegas 23 render speed is faster for sure. I did not see the increase in render speed using the trial version, but it's really apparent with a licensed copy. I'm seeing render speeds in the 170-fps range (i9-14,900K; RTXA2000 12GB). This is with

RE: What format does Vegas send data to the encoder?
I get 1786 unique colors for FFMPEG PRKS 444 encode of RGBA 16bit FFV1 . What i'm doing is generating the video encode, using MPC-HC to playback and take a 24bit BMP image, then load into infranview to detect unique colors. Could be a flawed

RE: What format does Vegas send data to the encoder?
For some reason I thought Voukoder on Vegas was limited to 10bit maybe related to the smaller pipeline to maintain quality but that can't be true for 3388 colors on a darkened grayscale image, it likely would have 3899 unique colors if processed

RE: Vegas pro 22-23 GPU performance issue
Yes, 32-bit floating point, Cine S-gamut to rec lut. The problem is that the GPU can't handle rendering even with simple footage without LUT or color grading. But in the preview window, even in "Good" mode it works perfectly with LUTs and color

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 – Bug & Issues Thread
When importing graphics with ProRes 4444 alpha, incorrect colors are displayed. On the left is the original color, which appears correctly in Vegas Pro 22. On the right, in Vegas Pro 23, it appears overexposed or shows only white with no color

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
I don't see any improvement. I only work on large projects, 30-60 minutes long. As long as the project lasts 6-8 minutes, everything works fine, but once it gets longer than 10 minutes, it's a disaster. Colorizing the project is a pain. In version

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
In version 23, as shown in the picture, there is a color banding issue. This happens when applying curves in color grading. The problem still persists even in version 307. It does not occur in version 22.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
I've reported the problem of lag and overall slowdowns in large projects many times. Moving tracks on the timeline can be very delayed. CGP starts to freeze and lag significantly. One forum member suggested that this could be due to the processor,

RE: MP4 or MOV files
@younso said: "What am I missing?" You're missing the concept that the act of rendering is distilling whatever you have as inputs to a pixel dimensions, frame rate, bit rate and color space to match the pixel dimensions, frame rate, bit rate and

Oh I thought it worked before with Resolve. Sounds like not. I used it for Resolve to VEGAS workflows as I used Resolve to color correct the original media.

Ditto re: Prores 4444 Worked perfectly in V.22, but looks horrible in V.23. The color is blown out about 3x brighter than it's supposed to be.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
Using the color grading curves (Smooth Curves) on a clip that has the "sharpen" effect applied causes a crash and bug, closing the program automatically. This issue also occurred in the version prior to build 302.
