  If you're going to be doing coloring, etc. as a next step Apple ProRes is a good choice. Double check the editor can work with those files and doesn't have another preferred format.

  My first impression as well. But maybe the OP is actually suggesting to use that MAGIX program. Seems he refers to "Vegas Stabilization" and "using it" results in getting "all kind off color spots".

  I had an issue like that for some ProRes resolutions a short while ago. I fixed it by selecting all the ProRes clips in Project Media and forcing their clip properties to Full-Range instead of Undefined. I don't think that property can be changed,

  @Levi-GB I have a script from our Script-Guru @jetdv (who wrote that script especially on my request) which applies the Auto color level to ALL selected events on the timeline with just one mouseclick. I use it almost daily and is a real timesaver

  Just insert Color Curves before your LUT. You can adjust highlights with color curves, and the LUT will do everything else. It is also an FBMN exposure plugin—it has highlights adjustment—similar to Adobe Lightroom, but it is not free.

  Can you set VP 22 to 8 bit video? Otherwise it's not showing us what's in the file. The bt709 tags don't matter for this.Also the blue channel may be clipped- if the source video's blue channel is not cut off I'd revisit the entire color workflow
