RE: Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
I haven't tried it in years so appreciate that info. It seems the issue is the color correction or other Fx pushing the levels of the already corrected media levels above 235? Did you check the gear above the scopes to make sure they are both set

RE: Alpha channel color
The alpha channel "color" is 0-0-0, or "nothing." Alpha "adopts" the color of the bottom most layer. "If" there is no bottom nonalpha layer, the "color" obviously is 0-0-0, or "nothing." The common name for that is called "black." Therefore, if you

RE: need help understanding / managing banding in 10 bit.
@Mindmatter How did you do the log to Rec709 conversion? I'd suggest either a LUT at the media level or ACES and set the appropriate color space. After that add the look stylistic LUT.

RE: Vegas 23 ProRes files over exposed (PLEASE HELP)
Looks better exposed in vp22 on my laptop... Yeah this looks about the same as mine. When i render the same footage with exactly the same settings in 22 and 23 and put it in a VP23 timeline, the 22 render looks like this. Overexposed and the depth

RE: Shifting color issue
@Nick-Knedler You could try to use the free "Autolevel" plugin from https://www.semw-software.com/en/autolevels/ which also dynamically corrects color changes.

RE: V-Log Footage
There are a few different workflows. You could try ACES by switching the project to 32-bit full with view transform set to sRGB. Then set the color space (right click on the media and go to properties) to Vlog/vgamut. Alternatively you can use a

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
Additional info:In the eventuality that you guys are testing with standard, non transparent MOV, here are OBS settings that get you Transparent Prores 4444 files, which I assume is going to be the common setup for most users here: Color format was

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 278 General Discussion
@Parser I have the Dark UI color selection and have zero issues reading text on a 4K monitor. That has always been my preference. As for "White". I have to agree, that is certainly what it is not. I went back to VP18, and there was no "White", but a

RE: vegas Pro 23 shows ProRes 4444 graphics as white (VP22 OK)
During testing, I found that disabling both “Enable legacy AVC decoding” and “Enable experimental HEVC decoding” and restarting the program restores the original, correct colors. When these options are enabled again, the video displays as a white

RE: need help understanding / managing banding in 10 bit.
Than you for clarifying. Did you compare it to the built-in conversion LUT in the color grading panel? Also when you go to render in 32-bit full mode make sure the view transform is set to off in project settings or it will be double corrected. I

RE: Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
I tested here with 8-bit legacy projects in 21 and 22 and the behavior seems the same. Adding a broadcast color set to extremely conservative after other edits (in this case color curves) tames superwhites back to 235. I tried a similar MXF render

RE: [Closed] Questions about Vegas Pro Color Range
I already know how and setup. What I'm trying to say is that the underlying metadata was misread. When you import it, it becomes a file with strong contrast. The reason is that the color range is full range, but it's different from the original
