  Vegas Pro 22-250 doesn't have an issue with your mp3 audio. It's just the way it's wrapped into the file. The first workaround I thought of was to extract the audio using Shutter Encoder, add it to the timeline as a new track, delete the old track

  @Roger Bansemer Try resetting the track defaults, or adjust the height of the track so the dots do show & then use this to set that height. How stupid of me. Raising the track height did it. Thanks.

  Changing Preferences for Track Composite level auto fade in and out
