RE: Does anyone know what the 'life is a stage' option is?
Hi.it's actually 'All life''s a stage'. It's in internal preferences. Scroll down and its just above a group of color grading options. You can't search for it. It's in 22 Pro. Please let me know if you have any luck!

RE: Variable Frame Rate vs 29.97 Fixed vs 30 Fixed
Most low cost or phone cameras do not have an aperture to control the light coming in. Cameras will vary the frame rate to compensate. You can test this by shooting low light and see if the frame rate is slower than a bright day shot. 30fps should

RE: VEGAS Pro brightness darker than original file on preview and render
Again today, I have a similar problem but now the Vegas file is brighter than original file, with "enable extended color format conversion" is set to FALSE. I really do not understand the issue. mp4 files always comes from my Panasonic G9Original :

RE: I'm Tired of Vegas Slander
@Dexcon Yeah, I love continuum. Great plugin, BCC+ and sapphire have been great tools for color grading and special effects. Mocha (roto and tracking) are my specialty and I loooove the program. Been using the Boris suite for years now and I don't

RE: Some Day/Year Will Vegas Go HDR10?!
Correction: After Refining of my (HDR10) project the HDR10-ProRes format can be recognized automatically and displayed fine, so the source HLG-files from my Lumix GH6 and DJI Mini4Pro as well. No luck with goPro Hero5 Pro tune flat color.

    RE: Color grading in Vegas
This is not a question of Vegas only. What type of footage do you record - so is it a HDR or SDR? And if you have a significant amount of luminance and color correction - then 10bit Prores 422 is a good choice for Vegas. At least for the actual

    RE: Color grading in Vegas
Inspired by Woflgang I tried editing the older video as if it were Slog 3. That seems to be right for the tone curve but not for color. VEGAS doesn't really have tools to mix and match different gamuts and gammas. Straight out of camera (left) vs

    RE: Alternatives for BRAW Editing?
All the sample files of BRAW that I have tried all play back at full frame rate. Even with adding color grading. But as posted above, you've failed to include your computer specs. Why not enter them into your User Profile>Signature like mine

RE: AVI (UT Video) files and limited-full range - problem
My question was more if it's possible to do any color manipulation in VEGAS only affecting luminance so as to output compliant XvYCC. I suppose if you make no changes it's just a passthrough.Did UT YUV files ever work as you expect in VEGAS? (Have

    RE: [Closed] ACES/32-full & sLOG3
@ALO I think you're right that cgp is not operating in Rec709 color space when it is selected as a view transform. Which functions only for viewing the display. If you really want to edit in Rec709 space, you need to apply the log to the footage via

    Adjusting Highlights (Color Grading)
Hi, So, I compared Vegas with Premiere Pro regarding adjusting highlights. Vegas can't seem to get the job done for me, and I need to revert to PP. I applied the same steps in Vegas and PP. Apply a lut and adjust highlights. In Vegas, if the

RE: AV1 render fails w/ "The reason for the error could not be determined"
ACES support seems to be having issues during the rebuild of the video engine (strange interactions with the color grading panel, the default space not working right for me, etc.) Odd that it's only failing with AV1 though (and that doesn't even use

Question: 8 vs 10-bit HEVC Renders?
Working within an 8-bit project (ie, 8-bit FR or legacy), with 10-bit footage on the timeline, does it make any difference if the render is set to 8 or 10-bit color depth? I would think no...but who knows?

RE: Vegas Pro 22 Horrifically Slow HVEC rendering
You can add two LUTs via the CGP at once. (input and output). You could also apply the two correction ones to the media as CGP at the media level and then a look LUT via CGP at the track level.Or use third-party software to merge the gamma and gamut

    RE: 1080HD on 4K timeline?
My experience with Upscaling is that the result is not worth the time it takes, especially in Vegas. Made some experience with Topaz, the same. Yesterday I combined as a test 1080p50 from my old Pana with 2160p50 from my new Osmo-pocket 3 in a 4k

Some Day/Year Will Vegas Go HDR10?!
In V23  1, Ruler marker doesn't match time/frame. It shifts the marker between Frames so that I must set my grid snap to Frames.  2,Color range doesn't change when manual adjusted. It impacts all source material no matter whether the interpretation

    Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
Here's a screen shot of a clip rendered in MXF format in V22 with the "Broadcast Color" filter applied to the master bus in order to bring the levels to broadcast safe. That clip was rendered in V22 and it looks fine on the scopes before rendering.
