RE: Motion Tracking using Brick Wall .png as Background
Is it just a zoom on the wall with the family.png's. I would set the project to the resolution of the wall, bring the family.png's with crossfades on a track above and size those family.png's events with PIP.fx for correct size/position relative to

Back again. I tried 3Point’s suggestion first because I think I see a problem with the Parent/Child approach. (See paragraph 5 below). Just to make sure my analysis of your demo is correct, I’ll go through your approach step by step. Let me know if

@Sam-Stalos Indeed, also in VP20 it's possible to make a zooming effect applied equally on all underlying tracks by using an adjustment track with a track PIP fx for the zooming effect:

RE: Group Events Contained Within Regions
@jetdv I was responding to the OP's query I wondered if there was a way to just Group the Events on one Track with whatever was on the Track above or below it, I mistook his query. I thought he wanted all the events on one track to be grouped with

How to use an external microphone in Vegas 23
I want to plug in an external microphone and press the record button and get a new audio track. The only way I can get this to happen is exit Vegas Pro and restart it. It will then give me a separate audio track. Otherwise, it will record on the

RE: How to use an external microphone in Vegas 23
The way I do it is to 1st set the Vegas audio device to the ASIO driver of the audio interface I want to plug my mic into. Then I insert a new audio track and select it. All versions of Vegas record to the selected audio track starting at wherever

RE: Motion Tracking using Brick Wall .png as Background
@Sam-Stalos Since the parent/child approach can look very complicated, as shown by @Gid , another easier option is to use an adjustment event at a separate upper track to achieve the zooming animation for all underlying tracks, done with the

Motion Tracking using Brick Wall .png as Background
Using Vegas 20 in Win 11. Dell Precision 3630, 32 Gig RAM. I’m requesting a review of my attempt to accomplish the superimpositions of 30 .png family photos (different sizes and resolutions, alpha backgrounds, on separate tracks) over a single photo

RE: Motion Tracking using Brick Wall .png as Background
I noticed in the various tutorials covering Tracking Motion, it is used on .mp4 and .mov files. Is that the key? Should I render the background wall to .mov and then apply the Motion Tracking plug-in?            I think that's the solution.

RE: Motion Tracking using Brick Wall .png as Background
@DMT3 Not at all I did it within a minute, the trick is to use parent track motion to zoom equally/exact on both tracks. No trouble with matching coordinates. If @Sam-Stalos could provide the family.png's and the brickwall picture, I will provide

@Sam-Stalos I just see that you're using VP20, unfortunately the adjustment event feature was introduced in VP21. In your Version of Vegas there's only an adjustment track feature ( which was introduced in VP19). I will check if it's possible also

"That process sounds equally complicated because you have to match the background's relative coordinates at each introduction of a family photo, plus match the coordinates of the already-visible-family waiting to fade out." If you make each track

@Jack S He's not doing "all events on all tracks". He's doing "all events in each region on the timeline."

RE: Issue with Black Border Cropping Preview Window when Using 2D Shadow
It's okay, your effort is appreciated. I'm moving the picture with the Track Motion around and the black box covering it makes it seem like it's a picture within a picture (which I know the point of using it). Pan/Crop only takes up space within the

RE: Group Events Contained Within Regions
@jetdv Out of curiosity, why are you creating the list? You could change... Oh gosh, this is a much better way of handling that. See, I thought that the best course of action would be to create a list of Events that would correspond to each Region

    RE: Copy-Pasting Text Atribute
For VP 23 and other recent versions there is a little button on the upper right of the text box that copies all attributes to other text events on the same track.
