RE: Unable to render into DOUBLE PAL = 50P
I remember that in the past MPEG2 files (original 50i) was possible to render into 50P. It was on old Vegas version, I think it was even Sony Vegas. Now it doesn't render even a source native 50 P video. The conversion / interpolation from 50i

Issue with Burning DVD
Hello, I am using Vegas Pro 17.0 (Build 455) Computer; Intel Core i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz with 32GB of ram. In the years that I have used Vegas Pro the end product has been a digital file almost exclusively. Recently I tried to burn a DVD from a .MP4

Again, thanks to everyone who has provided input to this thread. To answer the question Wolfgang S. asked, "why is it necessary to create a DVD at all?", first, this is fair question. It was my intention to provide content to a family member to be

RE: [Solved] Making a DVD in Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum Edition
It said 'Use this setting to create a PAL VCD-compliant MPEG-1 file'. The estimated size was 725.95mb. I hope this makes sense. I am afraid I am a real novice so am not sure what your message means. I wanted to save this to a DVD which could be

I have attempted to record 1.09gb video to DVD, however as I choose DVD the system post estimated size of video 6.9gb not enough space on a Sony 4.7gb Blank DVD. How do I get the estimated size to be representative of the actual size so I can make

RE: 1.02gb video to DVD, System states video 6.9gb . < space 4,7gb DVD ???
First and foremost: Do Not Trust the estimated file size in DVD Architect. It is usually wrong. Your final MPEG-2 + AC3 + Menus size must be NO LARGER than 4.35 GiB for a DVD5. That is etched in stone tablets. You will adjust your MPEG-2 video

RE: DVD Architect disc space used much larger than actual file
Although, the incorrect size estimate happens long before one gets to the burning stage, so it may still tell you that your project is way too big even before you prepare. If the prepared files are going to fit, then they'll fit no matter what

RE: 3.6 GB mpg file into DVD Architect results in 9.6 GB est. project size
No, DVDA was going to recompress. The mpg file that I added to DVDA was rendered from a 2 hour 33 minute file in Vegas Pro 17.0 using Program Stream NTSC from Main Concept MPEG-2, with customized template of about 3,500,000 bps (average) to result

3.6 GB mpg file into DVD Architect results in 9.6 GB est. project size
I generate a 3.6 MB mpg file in Vegas Pro 17.0 and insert it as a single movie into DVD Architect Pro 6.0 (Build 257). The estimated project size is 9.6 GB, 206% of 4.7 GB DVD media. Why is this and how can it correct it? My operating system is

From here : "If the estimated file size is a bit too big, Prepare (not burn) the DVD folder anyway and see how it turns out. An estimate is an estimate." Or try ImgBurn instead.

Hi. I clicked on the Make Movie button and the Render settings (which I now realise were too large) were as follows: Format: MainConcept MPEG-1, Template: VCD Pal, Description: Audio 224 Kbps, 44.100Hz, Layer 2, Video: 25 fps 352 x 288 It said 'Use

RE: Pro 15 won't play YUY2 files, but plays UYVY
Your max bitrate is WAY TOO HIGH, your average bitrate is WAY TOO HIGH. Your max should not be over 30 or 35 at most. Average should be close to your target (25). Min is okay. You should always render audio separate from video, it just works better

I’m still confused about rendering in Vegas & DVD-A. My project is 1hr 31min and delivery media is BD-25. InDVD-A, disc space used is 19.3gb which reports 78% of 25gb, actual size ofburnt disc is 13.7gb. Yet I’m still getting warning messages

RE: Issue with Formats and Files
A Video DVD will only take MPEG2. Don't try other formats. Are you trying to make a Video DVD or a DATA DVD? File size is determined by 2 things. Bitrate and length. If you need to make it smaller, you have to change something, in this case,

In Vegas you should use render settings for DVD Architect as described e.g. here. The DVD A compliant widescreen video templates are also available though they're not mentioned in that link. Note that DVD Architect gives only an estimate of the size
